A source of ours in the Reno area tells us that rumors circulating at the Silver Legacy, Eldorado, and other casinos in the Reno Corridor say that the KingJacks are planning helmet-burning parties this winter in the main parking lot at Taos, Smuggs, and Alta. The helmet-burning parties represent the end of skiing's Dark Ages (1995-2020).

The KingJacks (KJs) are a nationwide group of male and female skiers named in honor of Jack Taylor who live and breath skiing. Skiing is their life. Jack Taylor, known as the "Godfather" of mogul skiing, was a skier from Portsmouth New Hampshire who skied on The Ski and won the World Mogul Championships in 1975, 1976, and 1977.

The KJs plan to hold the parties from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm with helmet burning beginning at 5:30. Helmet-burning ceremony = 100 high-ranking members of the KJs simultaneously throwing a ski helmet into a bonfire. Admission to the parties is free. Female KJs will be selling brats and Miller High Life on-tap before and after the burning. A 20 x 25-foot poster of King Jack will be hanging directly over the brats and beer booth.

Our source tells us that Sweet Baby James is going to be playing a 6-song set at the Smuggs party that includes "Copperline." After song #3, 4 members of Jack Taylor's Portsmouth High School football team are going to auction off a pair of 200 cm yellow The Ski. Proceeds go to Jack's favorite charity.

We are trying to find other sources who can verify the rumors as true. Phil Pugliese is the owner of Pugski.com and lives in Reno. He might be able to help us verify.

I was posting on Pugski.com until management banned my IP address several days ago for reasons unknown to me. "No hard feelings Phil. I still consider you to be my friend and hope to ski with you at Alta and maybe Smuggs someday. Miss you Doug Briggs."

Question for skiers around the world. Am I the only one who thinks that skiers wearing helmets look like the Great Gazoo?

Pugski.com banned me, the trouble-making heterosexual Gentile, last year and now everything is sladkiy kak sakhar over there and very kosher. Every male staff and notable member is a B except for a few ABs and all staff member are part Jewish.

Pugski has manufactured consent. I am gone so there are no dissenting opinions allowed about topics discussed on the forum.

Does anyone know if Pugski staff and notable members still get free skis and free lift tickets to Mt. Rose? Can anyone confirm the rumor I heard on the street that Pugski is going to make RC Cola its official drink?

You have a son between the ages of 8 and 14 and want to get him into serious snow skiing. This is the type of skiing you want to get him into. I guarantee it. When he is 50 he will say to you, "Thanks dad for getting me into XC skiing and tele turns on skate skis when I was a kid. I'm half a century old and enjoy the sport as much now as when I was 16. If you had gotten me into the crapola alpine skiing that people were doing circa 2020 with those fat funny-shaped skis, I would have quit skiing long ago due to boredom."

Mikaela Shiffrin breaks the record for most alpine skiing World Cup race wins

Mikaela Shiffrin, 27, won her 87th World Cup race on Saturday by hundredths of a second, breaking the overall career World Cup victory record.
With this victory, Shiffrin cements her place as one of the greatest skiers — and athletes — of all time.
Sweden's Ingemar Stenmark set the previous record for career race wins on the alpine skiing World Cup at age 32 in 1989. Shiffrin tied this record Friday before breaking it Saturday to become the winningest alpine skier in history.
If she stays healthy and keeps racing, she could top 100 World Cup wins by the end of her career. She has three more races at next week's World Cup finals.
This victory came 12 years to the day after Shiffrin's first World Cup race in the Czech Republic at age 15. She won her first World Cup race at 17 at the same place in Sweden, where she set the world record Saturday.
