Been having login problems for nearly two (2) months now. Just a few minutes ago saw that Billy Bunter has been called home.
I contributed several postings to the Junk Food Diary. I found it to be perhaps the most fun that I've had being a VEF member. Food is the one thing that all of us, regardless of where we live have in common. It was amazing that an Irish gent and a Black/Irish/Native American guy from New York City could get into a discussion about Philly cheesesteaks, Italian hot dogs, Kentucky Fried Chicken or Cajun cuisine. Billy Bunter once replied to one of my posts "I will look you up next time i'm in the US. I did a lot of traveling in my 20s I saved for years and went on a "world tour" with the G/F. Now I have too many balls in the air. But that's another thread.". I regret I will never have the opportunity to meet the man. I guess the best eulogy I can give was the response I made to one of his postings. He was giving me a good natured bashing over the subject of beer. I made this response: Quote:

Just chanced upon this thread and truly sad that a fine man who contributed heavily in making this forum as great as it is has passed away. Despite being an atheist who does not believe in afterlife, I well and truly hope that he is in a better place. Goodbye unknown friend, you will be missed by many over here on VEF!
