Default Measurements in Mayfair

I’ve always been a tit lover. I’ve always liked to know a girl’s size. Maybe that was why Mayfair was my favourite magazine? The vital statistics were always there.
The measurements appeared as early as volume 2, and by the time I really got to know the magazine (vol. 11 no. 8) every girl’s vitals would be included in the fake biographical text. The bust sizes were numerical only- 34. 35, 36 maybe the occasional 38. 40s and above were rarer still (Pat Wynn and Joyce Gibson were billed as 40s). Sometimes 36s looked very big, other times almost small. I thought this must be something to do with height or stockiness.
Then I became aware of cup size. A figure after the number only rarely appeared (Veronica Waters was tagged as 38 d in vol.19 no 12).
We were into volume 26 when cup sizes really began to feature in Mayfair (6 years after Danuta Lato’s 34f had been billed as a 40 inch bust).
Volume 27 saw an increasing number of girls whose spreads featured no vital statistics. It was a curious mixture- some were billed by cup-size. Tiffany Towers in vol. 27 no 1 was described as having a 52 inch bust and in vol.27. no.12 was stated to have a 60 inch bust.
During vol. 29 the measurements disappeared (and the fictitious biographical sketches took on a coarser tone).
Then, joy of joys, in 1996 (in vol.31, no.5 to be precise) the new style emerged. Bust sizes were given as cup sizes! 34c, 36c etc.
If we fast-forward to vol.49 and choose a random issue, let’s see how far we’ve come.
32b, 36g, 33e, 32dd, 34dd… lovely.
(in old school notation these would be 34, 45, 39, 37, 39!)
It all adds to the enjoyment of the subtle variety of the female form.

Your memory deceives you. I just ploughed through Vol 10 of Mayfair and there was plenty of reference to cup sizes. You're correct though, in that the 39 inch busts are 36cs in 'real money'.
