Time will tell if my gut feeling can be trusted.
"Gut feeling" isn't evidence. "Presumption of innocence" is an international human right under the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

In criminal proceedings that's true. But these are nomination hearings to determine suitablity for office, so criminal standards don't apply. It's politics, and if they don't like him, they can reject him

I know, that's why i added "on a purely subjective level".

For any other job if an interviewee came across as an belligerent, whining little bitch who's unable to manage their emotions in public, I think a mainly elderly male panel may not rush to appoint them for anything, never mind the most important senior judicial appointment for the next 30 years.

You are still thinking of this as a job interview - it is the Republicans pushing thru their political choice before any change in the balance of power in November.

Thinking that this is a decision regarding the best legal mind for this position will just get you severely disappointed.

Now for something completely different - however it is a couple of months old.

Philippina in Las Vegas tried to use a water cup to get free soda at McD's - apparently got mad at a rather large employee who stopped her - threw a milkshake - and suffered the consequences. I doubt any sober person here would start a fight with this large lady - so I wonder how much alcohol had been consumed earlier.

Now if only this sort of thing happened at the Kavanaugh hearings, I might actually watch it.

If there is one thing I have never liked it's people who take their frustrations out on the first convenient person who comes along. This woman is clearly making Sen. Flake take some sort of responsibility for something he has absolutely nothing to do with.

There's a rumour going round the Net that these women are part of some Soros funded group.

Default on Kavanagh

Some judges and law professors weigh in with words on his actions during the hearing, with more critical than not.

Judgements on Kavanaugh's Fury is the title of the print version.

He was never a legal drinker in Maryland
Quote:
In his testimony, Kavanaugh, who has denied all of Ford’s accusations, stated correctly that the drinking age had been 18 in Maryland for “most” of his time in high school. But in fact, that never applied to him.
While he admitted in his congressional testimony that there were probably occasions during his time at Georgetown Prep that he had consumed “too many beers,” a combative Kavanaugh denied he had ever gotten out of control or acted inappropriately toward women.

Default and on Christine Blasey Ford

What the SD Union-Tribune had to say back on the 17th:
Let’s listen to Christine Blasey Ford
And from a UT columnist whose normal beat has been the arts and entertainment arenas (which admittedly have nothing to do with what might have or not happened to Ford, but gives some context as to how women will feel about this.):
Kavanaugh accusations hit close to home for San Diego rape survivors
and this contrasts with what many have had to say about Kavanaugh's demeanor during testimony:

Here's what experts who study sexual violence say about the credibility of Christine Blasey Ford's testimony
