Bud Light isn't a bad brew, best when it's ice cold. Now, Coors Light. First time I had one of those, I said, "Can I have some beer with my water?"

Went out with a few friends tonight and had an interesting experience with the Belgian ale Bloemenbier. It's brewed with flowers, thus its name (Bloemen is Dutch for flowers).
I wasn't impressed as the bottle had more foam than the actual thing. But Belgian beer is usually excellent. I just happened to pick the wrong one. Same with women... |

Please ignore the subtle phallic symbolism , plus my google search.
Aren't we all. But do try to stay on thread topic Sunday it was Pepsi namesake. Then later some Heinekens Yesterday healthy Bavarian hops This afternoon I had juicy water. Far prefer that to the dry water Once again scoffed a couple of Scotch eggs Now glugging ice cold Heinie Though going to see if I can't knock booze on the head for awhile from tomorrow. Hey , it could happen

Quote:
I now refer to the 12 oz cans of my beloved Bud Light, that I drank for oh so many years as "sippy cups", and have given up on them in favor of the "pounders". Drinking the "little ones", now just seems odd, and they look/feel strange. Makes me think of a quote from one of my favorite, rest your brain movies......The Stoned Age. I couldn't find the exact clip, so here's the full movie. The relevant quote in question is at about the 49:50 mark. With that said, the store just down the road from me (at my request) now stocks the glorious 24 pack/suitcases of the pounders. And, the real bonus shironus is the fact that they're only $18, and change. Just picked one up, and the afternoon is now looking far brighter.

Let's free Cuba!!
Hey folks!!
As I follow this thread already for a while, it's time now to share my drinking pleasure with you guys!! So here is my first contribution to this thread: And what could be a better drink as a starter as a perfect Cuba Libre? For me, I always prefer Havana Club 3 yrs., or even better 7 yrs., as the perfect mixer, fresh squeezed lime juice (it's a must, and much better than lemon juice in my opinion!) and Coke (Coca Cola or Pepsi) and lots of large icecubes!! Yummie!! By the way, a question to our American friends here: What is about the trade embargo with Cuba, do you guys can now finally enjoy/purchase all the good stuff coming from Cuba?? Especially all the beautiful rum?? Otherwise I have to tell you, you really missed something so far!! I love Cuban rum!! And Havana Club is one of my favorites!! The 7 yrs. one is just beautiful for a Cuba Libre, but there for I haven't had enough money... But the 3 yrs. one is doing a great job aswell to get me satisfied! And that means a lot, 'cause I used to work fulltime for more than 15 years as a cocktailbartender in clubs and bars, and believe me, I know how a perfect drink has to be! But now I prefer to enjoy the drinks in front of the bar, better than behind... Getting to old for that shit... Anyway, this drink I'm having right now is at home in front of my computer, surfing the fabulous VEF!! So cheers on you guys and this forum!! P.S. Think I gonna have another one pretty soon along with one of these "flavored cigarettes" - from which I heart the rumor, that they legalized it in parts of the US!! Hopefully they'll do it in my country pretty soon aswell...
