got hit with SERVICE HOST...?

Had to wrestle with a "Service Host" page locker yesterday. Was opening files in the MILF section and got the box that says "Message from the Webpage" and I DID NOT click on it...It locked the page, no way to close it...

Not sure exactly how I got it to release things so I could shut down.

Went to "task master" and there were a dozen+ " service host" programs sucking up memory...

Tried closing them one by one but not much luck...

Anyway finally was able to shut down the computer, restart amd immediately run Malwarebytes and Avast complete scan and then "root kits" scan...thye found stuff I did not recognize as baddies...seems to be gone unless it is burrowed into the computer.

Wish I had taken notes of where I was when I got the thing and how I got around it...but it took quite a while to finally get the page closed and shut down the computer.

About all I can add is DON'T take the bait and click on the WINDOW...never knew what a service host was before and not too sure yet what it is...seems the are many legit reason for it to be there doing something.

Anyone know more about these things that lock the page up? Have read the thing will try to threaten you with having to pay them.
