I've been lucky. I worked in sports PR for several years and had ample opportunities to meet some famous and great people in and out of sports. Here are (IMO) the top three in each form:

Auto Racing: Ayrton Senna, Mario Andretti, Emerson Fittipaldi
American Football: Walter Payton, Joe Namath, Mike Ditka
Hockey: Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Larry Robinson
Baseball: Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Pete Rose
Porno: Ginger Lynn, Christy Canyon, Seka
Movies: Paul Newman, Ricardo Montalban, Jimmy Stewart
Politics: George Bush, Mike Pence, G. Gordon Liddy
Music: Cheap Trick (all members), Debbie Harry, Gene Simmons

Would you believe me if I told you that Agnetha Faltskog and I had a torrid love affair in the 1980s?

Nope. Unless you provide the details.

And did it provide the inspiration for " The Winner Takes All"?

I met the members of REO Speedwagon after one of their gigs in my town.
Nuno Bettancourt and Gary Cherone while on tour with the first Extreme album.
Greg Guiffria <sp?>
Ginger Lynn is from my hometown.
All the members of Cheap Trick multiple times.
A ton of the original AWA wrestlers....Vern Gagne, Mad Dog Vachon, the Crusher, Jerry Blackwell, Dino Bravo, The Road Warriors <Animal and Hawk>, Dusty Rhodes, Wahoo McDaniel, Nick Bockwinkel, Bobby Heenan, Jesse Ventura
Almost ran Ozzy Osbourne over with my 10 speed as he was getting off his tour bus...he cursed at me, I think, cause could barely understand him
Joe Satriani on his anniversary tour for Surfing with the Alien

Little Richard at a coffee place in Hollywood, we exchanged friendly greetings and he shook my hand. What an experience, that guy has more energy than the local power station.

I was once within a few yards from Marilyn Chambers just outside an LA cemetery, but I guess that doesn't count.

And should I dare mention it, but I spent time in Minneapolis back in the early 90's with Patrick Carnes. Some of you might have heard of him !

Still, as far as I am concerned meeting Little Richard was the most memorable.

Several politicians who came to talk at our school including Cecil Parkinson. When he did most of the Sixth Form started to rattle their keys......

Met Uliana Lopatkina and Darcey Bussell and several noted classical musicians. All very accomodating and interesting characters from Freddie Kempf to Tamsin Waley-Cohen.

Exclamation Gustav-Adolf "Täve" Schur

As born in the G.D.R. i met Gustav-Adolf Schur when i was a boy while he was in school my father worked for an interview.
Must have been 1985/1986 and i did asked him some questions, which i can't remember very well - would have to ask my father about that.
