I was watching a documentary last night about the 80's (in particular the year 1984, and all the political/cultural events that happened that year) and in the 'music' bit they featured a clip of Bronski Beat and their song Smalltown Boy).
The lead singer of Bronski Beat was Jimmy Sommerville, who left the band to form the Communards in 1985.
They then featured a clip of him being interviewed on TV.

And it was only then that I discovered he was actually SCOTTISH!

To think it's taken me 30 years to find out he was a SCOTSMAN!
