What do you remember?
As a bit of a break from page 3 threads I thought it might be fun to resurrect the remembrances of Saturday morning tv from the 70's-80's-seen as the golden age for us 40 somethings here in the UK. So my question is this, what do you remember getting up early and dashing downstairs to watch-oh and we can also include school holiday programmes too. Here are a few examples:
Marine Boy Outer Space(only met one other person who remembers this)-it showed two Autocat and Motormouse cartoons(Hanna-Barbera) and a saga called "The Ice Dragon"-anyone else? circa 1974/5 White Horses Belle and Sebastian Three's Company(foreign kids show about two boys and a girl with a whistled theme tune) Multi-coloured Swap Shop TISWAS Hey! Its' the Wolf!(hanna-barbera shorts) The Singing Ringing Tree Add your memories here.

Odd cartoons that were around the 70's & early 80's
Dodo-the Kid from Outer Space (theme tune went something along the lines of "he's a scientific pixie from a strange atomic race, Dodo, Dodo, the Kid from Outer Space-Dodo!") Astronut(space alien visits hapless Oscar) Deputy Dawg-Police dog in the backwoods of America, forever given the run around by Vance-a hip varmint and Musky the muskrat and forever in lumber with the Sheriff! Beany and Cecil(a kid and his pet sea monster!) Sinbad the Sailor(every time he pulled his belt tight he gained strength!) Re the Red Hand Gang-that starred Matthew Laborteaux and a black kid with the great name of James Bond III-obviously his parents liked the British secret agent.

Redeye1 refers to the Banana Splits, a main staple of school holiday programming here along with Why Don't You(Just Switch off your Television Set and go and do something less boring instead) bunch of kids, demonstrating how to make, do and create all sorts of things along with the odd video of kids and their hobbies.
