Truly Deserved

From obscuritism and elitism they have at last realised that poetry and lyricism are also literature.

What on Earth his singing voice has to do with his writing is bizzare otok

A really brave choice, and one truly well deserved ~ imo

When I saw the Headline on BBC news...just his name... I almost had a heart attack. 2016 Strikes Again

Rave On Bobby...

Forgot the singing, the award is for his poetry. Dylan has never been - nor ever will be a traditionalist. His writings proves that. So why should The Nobel Prize for Literature follow those long drawn out traditional ideals. 'The Times They Certainly Are -A -Changin.'' Well deserved. Not that Dylan really gives a shit about awards as far as I can tell. He always seems bored at these award ceremonies and wishing he was anywhere but there. He does what he does. No artist in the history of popular music has courted so much controversy. He is unique. A genius. Let's treasure him while we still have him. In five hundred years time, critics will be comparing him to Shakespeare.

Poetry that moved a nation,...Rubin Hurricane Carter, says it all really, who ever gave a toss about a wrongful conviction, who ever gave a toss about a black wrongful conviction, Social conscious and ahead of his time, and much needed today

If you can remember Anne McCaffrey's "The Ship who Sang" the Dylan will be legendary.

The church in Poland is a serious political force. I don't know where else in Europe they have so much power except maybe in Croatia. You're certainly right about Jaruzelski being a tool of Moscow but he didn't get a Nobel Prize for that.

I won't buy into whether or not Bob deserved a Nobel for a back catalogue of songs, but I did notice no women won one. 'Oh the times they ain't a changin'
