I posted this on another thread and thought I would post it here. The actual story is sad, but I like the cover because it features three of my favorite ladies: Batgirl, Wonder Woman and Zatanna.

It was in 1968 that the first Silver Surfer comic book was printed by Marvel. It was only 25 cents per issue then. It was a short lived comic only producing a total of 18 issues. I was only 17 years old then and I had no idea that if one kept comic books in tight plastic bags and kept them for decades they would be worth big money later. When I moved out of my parent's apartment to find my own when I was 24 years old I sold all my Marvel comics to a comics store. If only I had kept that series they would be worth a ton of money now.
