Vardy has had a shocker tonight. Missed chance after chance but thanks to Sevilla's poor record in penalties its not hurt Leicester. They go through though which is all that matters and you can hear the crowd in the ground from my flat singing very loud.

It would seem that the Ranieri sacking was indeed the right choice after recent performances and results. Those fans moaning about the owners showing no loyalty may well see things slightly different now. Leicester are now in the last 8 of the Champions League. They have beaten a team whose expertise over the last few season has been European football. A well deserved win and a great result. Now the fans are likely to get to see a dream match with those that are left being the biggest clubs in Europe.

On a side note it seems the humble Kante made an effort to see his old mates tonight as he was in the crowd watching history being made once again.

I have now added Leicester to my hate list because of Vardy, Savage and Linekar...and also the players treacherous treatment of Ranieri.

Whether you admire Leicester or loathe them for their treatment of the Tinkerman, you have to admit they performed on the night - and they've neatly put the omnishambles in North London masquerading as Arsenal FC into perspective....

I wonder if Leicester was 5000-1 at any stage this season to win the CL?

Which is a pity because I have always liked Leicester City since the cup final in 1961, the first I saw in full (delayed). After that i pinned on my bedroom wall a team picture from Tiger (which i used to cycle 5 miles to get from a second-hand bookshop in NZ). I even mocked-up a Leicester City pennant on the back of an old one i got for playing for Granville Waratahs and pinned that on my wall as well.

A Man City no trophy season gets closer to reality

With 2 ex- Arsenal defenders and John Stones in defence - leaking goals was a given

Monaco 3

Mbappe (8' minutes),
Tavares (29' minutes),
Bakayoko (77' minutes)

Man City 1

Sané (71' minutes)

(Agg 6-6)

Monaco win on away goals

Default I wonder if this guy has body guards lined up...

cause he's gonna need lots of them! How did he get sentenced to only 22 years in the first place?

City were somewhere else in the first half and Monaco took full advantage. Second half they were better, got back into the game and scored what should have been the tie winning goal, unfortunately gave away a silly free kick and defended it like schoolboys.

Pep's resume taking a pounding, not sure where he and City go from here.

Just Leicester now to fly the flag for England. At least we don't let the country down.
