Buying Porn Magazines, was it a turn on for you?

Buying magazines was a very erection-hardening ritual for me. Once I had worked my way up through Escort and Fiesta to club international etc, and exhausted my older brother's supply of 1970s Lovebirds, Playbirds and anything with Mary Millington in it, I graduated to Bounce, Amazons, 50+ and such like.

Only certain newsagents, usually ones with an enormous selection of tit magazines, stocked these, so the assistants (I made sure I only bought from female shop assistants either very mature or teenage) were used to tit fanatics.

I continued right up to the era of subscribing to the USA version of Voluptuous, which came in the post. Had hardcore in it.

Many's the time I walked into a newsagent to buy a porn mag then someone else would walk in and I'd just end up asking for a Mars Bar.
I found the best time was very early in the morning when the shop had just opened about 6am. My work in those days had a very early start so it was convenient for this. The worst and busiest times that had to be avoided at all costs were late afternoons when the shops would be full of young mums and schoolkids.

I always used to tell myself that if these magazines weren't intended to be bought, the shop wouldn't be selling them in the first place (which somehow made it easier).

It was, I would always try and discreetly look at was on the top shelf. Then I would wait for the shop to empty before making my purchase and shoving it in to my jacket pocket.......

Barely a turn on, but sure a shame I choose the oldest edicolant for buy porn mags; in my head, I think: he's old and don't think about my shop. But one day I have to buy a porn mag where was a 20 or 30 yo girl, and, damn! She ask me the documents because I looks very young. So I replyed: "I don't have documents! When possible, my friend and me asked his brother for buy porn mags.

Buying anything remotely pornographic was always a challenge back in the 80's when I was a teenager.
One day I thought I was playing it safe by picking up a copy of the american biker magazine "Supercycle" but the pretty and very conservative shop assistant still said that I was "far too young" to buy it. I was well aware that there a few pics of topless girls inside and even a glimpse of pussy hair but I was crushed by her unjust refusal. It wasn't a porno mag and anyway, I wasn't "FAR too young" even if it had been. I explained passionately that the magazine hadn't been on the top shelf and that I had a big interest in motorbikes but her expression suggested that she was far from convinced. She looked at the front cover again but, possibly after noticing a sub-title which said "Big Breast Contest Continues" she shook her head, apologised and said that she didn't want to get into trouble. I didn't give up though and somehow, by saying please a lot and that I would take the magazine straight home and no-one else would know, she eventually relented. I was elated and my excitement seemed to amuse her.
I went back to the shop, of course, because I calculated that, as she thought "Supercyle" was a porno mag, she would let me have the real thing without too many questions and I was right. I made a few visits to buy softcore titles and was starting to build up a rapport with the assistant until one day another lady was at the counter. She was older and more stern and when she said I was too young to buy my "Knave" I thought the game was up. Then, the first assistant appeared like an angel and said "He's alright" which made me feel about two feet taller and made my boyish crush on her a little stronger.
Unfortunately, the next time I went to the shop there was no sign of her. She'd obviously been training up the stern woman to be her replacement and, although I was grudgingly allowed to buy what I wanted, it didn't feel the same. The first assistant had been conservative in a pleasant way and it had been fun persuading her to let me buy porn but the new one was Conservative in a Margaret Thatcher way and I didn't like that.
I never went back but the skills of persuasion I learned there (basically tell the truth and beg) helped me in my future quests for stronger porn and maybe in life too.

I bought a few magazines because a guy in my class was the one who provided us all of that material. He had from the softer as Playboy, stronger as Penthouse to the most bestial (at that time) as Private.
I remember one day I went to the store and wait until after everyone was out, i picked up a porn magazine and went to pay. The owner told me to leave the magazine back on the shelf because i was a minor. I was sixteen years old. I burned the ears of shame.

Yes, suffered from burning ears and a bruised ego myself a few times before I got lucky. I had to keep trying though as I didn't have a supplier of porn at school and the "Porn Fairy" never left anything good for me in all the hedges I searched.
I do remember one boy at school flicking through a tatty copy of "Mayfair" in the corridor in between lessons but I couldn't help noticing that all of the girls were looking at him as though he was a complete weirdo. I was very self- concious and hated the idea of the girls' thinking I was weird too so I pretended that I wasn't interested, which was a bit weird in itself really.
Also, one morning before school I can vividly recall a few softcore mags being shared around in a mate's bedroom but we only had a few minutes before his mum shouted up that we were going to be late so I was left feeling frustrated and confused that time too. His mum was standing at the bottom of the stairs as we all trooped down covering our crotches and I'm sure she'd known what we'd been upto as she gave me a look which said: "Well, well I'm surprised in you of all boys J". I could feel my face reddening guiltily as she looked deep into my eyes and dirty mind.
These incidents fuelled a very intense desire to own my porn and, when I think about it, made it all the more pleasurable when I did finally succeed in buying some.
