A few cubes of ice does for me.

Or a photo of the Shadow Home Secretary.

Both have a similar effect.

One works much better though.

I share your anger - I had a pop at BLM(UK) last year about the same thing on the "What annoys you the most" thread:

Following on from our posts, this story annoyed me a lot today, when I read it:

Oxford student Lavinia Woodward 'may avoid jail' for knife attack

An "extraordinary" Oxford University student who stabbed her ex-boyfriend in the leg may avoid jail as it would affect her career prospects, a judge has said.

Lavinia Woodward, 24, attacked the man at Christ Church college, while she was under the influence of drink and drugs.

She admitted inflicting grievous body harm, the Oxford Mail reported.

At Oxford Crown Court, Judge Ian Pringle QC said he believed the attack was "a complete one-off".

"To prevent this extraordinary, able young lady from following her long-held desire to enter the profession she wishes to, would be a sentence which would be too severe," he said.

Update on eye-seems to be getting better through use of OPTREX but felt a hot wave on my face beneath my left eye and I think it was that which dripped onto my skin(instead of the eye) and sort of burnt it as I couldn't get it cool no matter how much I washed it or put something ice cold on it. However that has now gone thankfully and my eye appears to be better. Will keep you posted.

Looks like the Chump is in trouble and this time he might not be able to wriggle out of it-we hope!

We've had a serious lack of rain down this way and our water company wants us to turn off the tap when washing our teeth and to conserve water, but this afternoon to about a few minutes ago it hasn't stopped raining and we need a lot more especially in rivers that dried up so dramatically over the Winter(such as it was) You used to be able to rely on Winter being cold and wet right up to March but nowadays thanks to global warming and man-made mistakes that is almost history...worries me I can tell you.

OK looking ato this reminds me of the Brock Turner case over here child of privilege getting treated lightly by the court which relates to your other post about BLM in this way. The reason they don't address black on black violence is their whole point is accountability. They know if the poor black offender is caught and brought to court the offender will be held accountable, but they also know if the state is the offender against the citizens then accountability is going to be rare, if not an impossible occurance. That affects everything from the amount of attacks cause the lack of accountability ends up cheapening the citizens lives to the police's ability to catch the offenders due to the lack of co-operation from the citizens that increasingly distrust them.

It's more to do with the courts typically being more lenient to women than to men when they commit the same crime. It's wrong but it's nothing new.

I am not going to say that women can not have an advantage when it comes to the justice system. Race and sex undoubtedly play a role in justice outcomes. You could look at the rash of female teacher /student sex cases and see that. But those factors pale in comparison to money. If she was a poor girl from the wrong side of town she would be doing orientation now at the local facility. Look at it like this, the judge is not missing meals and is more likely to empathizewith the weLloyd to do defendant in his or her courtroom. Also screwing over the well-resourced is a good way to end up with an enemy you don't want.
