What makes you a man, is it carrying a heavy weight, driving while she rides shotgun, ordering drinks at the bar or just being the boss

For me it's kinda old fashioned stuff like DIY or opening a pickle jar.

For me, I guess more than anything, its taking care of your responsibilities. The physical stuff helps but being responsible is much more important.

The letter of permission from my wife. I had it laminated and I hide it in the bottom of my sock drawer so I can pull it out when I need to remind her who's the boss.

Easy.
Women waffle on and on about the most obvious cr*p in the world and then look at you for reassurance and to see if you agree with them.
A real man is calm, assured and gentlemanly in the way he agrees with everything they say.
Or you could be honest and tell her to stop talking sh*t.
Bit less sex involved......but it's MIGHTY tempting

For all their claims of 'equality' those ruddy women can't do that can they?

Changing a wheel on a car, because they are so tight I need my pull bar to loosen the nuts. The stupid wrench that comes with the car is useless.

What makes me different from women? The way in which I found myself different from women (until very recently) was the fact that I value intelligence, sincerity, and freedom above looks, money, and college. Most people in secondary education, but ESPECIALLY women, think that freedom, intelligence, and sincerity are lower values or non-values.

I can remember on the first day of middle school (1989-91), when my seventh-grade English teacher (who was a woman) wrote the word "NERD" on the chalkboard and asked the entire class who was this word. Immediately some people pointed at me, and most of the women smiled. It was to become a recurring theme for six years of my life: discrimination by women. Discrimination against intelligence, or because I didn't have looks, money, college, or religion.

Even in high school (1991-95), when I made a sincere effort to work out, look good, dress like a prep, and be a fine young man, women still acted prejudiced over religion, college, vegetarianism, or some other cause they had. I developed the courage and social skills to talk to some women and ask them out, because they seemed more like me as people. But women did not seem to value my sincerity or intelligence very much at all, and they would never do anything courageous or heroic like calling me or asking me out on a date.

This pattern continued for an entire decade during the 1990s. I did not have sex or go to the prom in high school, rarely ever did anything involving women after high school, and mostly concentrated on building a life for myself. Two years into this effort (1997), my supervisor and her assistant (two women) cut my hours back to a point I could not pay my bills anymore, and they also harassed me about fundamentalist Christian religion. At this same time of my life, my mother attempted suicide with sleeping pills, and I had to call the ambulance to save her life. My father forced me to attend her therapy sessions because I still lived with my parents at 19; their psychiatrists immediately branded me with bipolar disorder and I was put on medications. An entire year of my life, wrecked by irrational females.

Five years after high school ended (2000), some of this irrationality started to go away. I noticed a subtle shift in younger women, possibly caused by the conservatism of Cincinnati eroding under the libertarian, information age capitalism surrounding it, in which younger Generation X/Y women are now raised to be Ayn Randian heroines who can do the same things as men. These women started talking to me, and occasionally flirting with me, at places like Outback Steakhouse and Tumbleweed Southwest Grill. It also helped that I recommitted myself to finishing my associate degree work at a local commuter college, which had replaced wage-labor for me in 2000.

I asked some of these women to my college graduation party in 2004, and one of them compared me to Ashton Kutcher because I had been working out, and I even had a professional portrait taken to prove I could be handsome. Only my sudden hospitalization that year, and unemployment the next year, cheated me of the highest aspirations of my life -- looks and money. Subsequently, I was denied enough college aid to finish a bachelor's degree at the University of Cincinnati, then ran out of undergraduate loans to pay for a different degree through University of Phoenix. Meanwhile, the economy is still not particularly good in the U.S.A., and I don't have much money to impress a woman with. My looks are possibly average right now; I have invested in new fitness equipment, but it will take a while before I look like Ashton Kutcher again.

In 2014, I feel that it is only a matter of time before I find the right woman, and hopefully she will be able to do everything I can do, but without the drama that women created in the past. I don't want to say that women should marry older men, or that men should marry younger women, but because women my age discriminated in secondary education through the end of high school (the age at which my parents met and married), I probably have no choice but to marry a younger, very beautiful, twentysomething or Generation Y age girl. Maybe she works at Hooters or Show-Me's?! But she has to have sincerity and intelligence to go with looks.

If it's any help AmateurEmale i'm 5' 3" and can't see over walls. Be yourself is the only thing apart from making that first move Is all I can offer as advise.
