A point of history. Britain will not be a thousand years old in 2066!

Britain came into existence in 1707. The individual countries are of course much older.

The significance of the Norman Conquest, that Immy is thinking of, is that it was the last time that England was successfully invaded. Power passed from the Anglo-Saxon capital of Winchester to London, and has been exercised from there ever since. After the Act of Union in 1707, Scotland was ruled from there as well. So 1066 can be regarded as the origin of the present-day state, just as the origin of the USA is taken to be the War of Independence, despite the fact that the winners of that war occupied only a small fraction of the present-day territory. Although "The Kingdom of Great Britain" came into existence only in 1707, the island itself was being referred to as Britain, or something similar, as long ago as the first millennium BC, and it is in this less formal sense that we should understand the question, I think.

I'm not British, but i'd guess the English will still be singing about 1966, the welsh will still be shagging sheep, the Scottish will be alkies. The Irish will still be arguing with each other about walking down a road.

In 2066, GB won't exist.
There'll just be one gigantic urban sprawl called Londonopolis with distinct areas like "Little Manchester", "Little Pakistan", "Little Cymru", etc.
There'll be a stand-off at the Londonopolis/Scotland border with bulldozers trying to expand North being thwarted by Scots terrorists nicking all their diesel to power the lightshow at the Alex Salmond Memorial Theme Park.
I could be wrong.
Perhaps "Little Pakistan" should read "Greater Pakistan"......
As a point of order..

Will the USA exist in it's current form in 2066?
Will California and other southern States join a greater Latin America Federation leaving a depleted USA to try merging with Canada?
Interesting times.

In 2066, Britain together with the United States and Western Europe will have been reduced to a third world status.

Unfortunately, the culprits are in play today - massive government, corporate and personal debt; Unrestricted immigration;
and a willingness for governments to dumb down their population to a mediocre mass

If I could time travel I'd go back to 1966 not forwards to 2066.

Scotland buried under a mile of ice.
Most of the country a tundra wasteland with a small strip of land on the South Coast just about habitable and populated by 80 million people.
On TV an American news item:
A cyborg Al Gore (age 118) will be perched smugly on top of an expanding glacier on the outskirts of Chicago and saying "Yup, positive proof of Global Warming!"

In 2066 Britain will look 95% like it does now.

In 2366 Britain will be different. It will have a "lesser stature" and the median Brit will be darker. He will look like Roger Federer.

The progeny of many British VEFers will no longer be living in Britain. They will be in States of the "highest stature" like New England and Pacifica (Pacific Northwest). The great grandchildren of Mal Hombre and bloke57, 2 VEF friends of mine, will probably be living in Newcastle, CA. Heck, 1 of Mal's great X15 grandsons will probably marry 1 of my great X15 granddaughters.
