Although a few millionaires may result from Indian cricket, there are very few. The average county and state player are not well paid.
I think they will be less well paid and quite a few more unemployed when the womens' teams start demanding equal pay.

Since the 'real' cricket starts again on Thursday, any thoughts or reaction to the team selection ?

Does Balance really deserve the recall (Appears that Root was instrumental there).

Or, to put it another way, assuming there is to be an Ashes series (and both parties will surely get their heads sorted on the dispute) with this short test series would it not be better to treat it as an extended 'audition' rather than so what they normally do and just blood one or two in the last game.

I think Ballance has earned a recall given his form at county level recently. Besides "Ballance" and "Root" both sound like stabilising influences - let's hope they live up to their names.

The hardest part to believe in all this is the CEOs on both sides
havent been a part of the talks.

The Australia A tour of South Africa & a Test series in Bangladesh
arent likely to cause any to loose too much sleep if bypassed.

Never ceases to amaze me how much cricket is being played today

Champions trophy finishes and India are then playing the Windies
a week later in 4 ODIs

Talk about milking the public for everything their worth

West Indies desperately need India and England to tour as often as possible - they are by far the most valuable broadcasting rights WICB has to sell. Also, the only time the grounds are full is when England tour.
