Does anyone else remember Amanda Peterson? Amanda is best known for her role as Cindy Mancini, whom Patrick Dempsey paid to date in the 1987 movie Can't Buy Me Love. Amanda Peterson has some bit parts on TV shows and movies before the movie that was supposed to be her breakout role but went back to TV movie appearances such as a coed posing for Playboy before falling out of acting entirely by the mid-'90s.

Wikipedia is correct: By the time this was made Amanda had been heavily involved in the Hollywood party & drug scene, r@ped by a much older man (charges never filed), enrolled and dropped out of college, convicted of two DUIs, and been through counseling and rehab.
After this film she gave up acting, got married and divorced, had two kids, five arrests, a custody battle, and health issues. Found dead in her Colorado apartment 6 July 2015 from "acute morphine toxicity." RIP lovely lady.
