Yes but China now is only one of a few nations that have significantly expanded millitary spending.I failed to mention, they will soon join the multiple Aircraft carrier club, with another one soon.I have read that some have stated their new attack fighter, the Chengdu J20 is on par or better than our latest f 35s.Thanks to the traitors here in the US allowing Chinese industries to make our sensative high tech devices. They also got our stealth technology.

Why should they use an obsolete technology that has never worked ? Each passive radar makes stealth completely ineffective. The Chinese know that.

Edit : One more thing. Stealth is a first strike weapon concept and China has no first strike doctrine. They never had one.

Wikipedia :

'Of the nuclear powers, only the People's Republic of China and the Republic of India have declarative, unqualified, unconditional no-first-use policies. In 1982, at a special session of General Assembly of United Nations, the USSR pledged not to use nuclear weapons first, regardless of whether its opponents possessed nuclear weapons or not.'

The big three currently are the USA, China, and Russia. Putin's land grab of the Crimea was nothing more than his way of announcing to the world that Russia was going to start becoming a player on the international scale again. That and since they like to park their Black Sea Fleet there it would make sense he would take steps to secure it given the political unrest in the Ukraine.

There are also some major regional powers as well. NATO (i.e. Western Europe as a whole) and India, and (possibly soon) Japan who has made rearmament in the face of Chinas newfound superpower status something of a national goal. Most of these entities could bring major power to bear at the immediate theater level.

If a 3rd WW scenario ever plays out it will likely start as the far eastern equivalent how WW I started. Someone like North Korea taking their nationalist propaganda bullshit too seriously and torching off with South Korea or some semi unresolved territorial dispute between India and one of its neighbors.

The Korean War has never stopped. There is only a ceasefire agreement. North Korea is a really poor, internationally isolated nation which seeks to conclude a peace treaty since 1953.

Fact is, the only one who is not interested to sign a peace treaty is Washington.

My personal opinion on Putin is that he is trying to reestablish, at least to some extent, the old USSR. He is very old school and an ex KGB head. Looking into his eyes I see a stone cold killer who doesn't care about human lives at all. I freely admit I may be wrong but I have run into his apparent type before. They are goal driven with no real concept of mercy, compassion, forgiveness, just get it done and damn the cost in causalities and material. Hopefully he will be satisfied with taking back former USSR areas but I don't think so.

So you really believe that if push came to shove they would abide by what is basically a political ploy to make those who don't think believe that they will not be an aggressor Do you honestly believe a semi-dictator like Putin would refrain from the use of nukes if he thought it would help him to his goal???
