Barbara Bates (Aug 6,1925–Mar 18,1969) was an American fashion model and actress.
She was one of the "Seven Salome Girls" in 1945 drama "Salome Where She Danced" .
After 1945 Bates spent the next years as stock actress, landing bit parts in movies
and doing cheesecake layouts for some magazines like Yank , Army Weekly and Life .
In 1947, Warner Bros. highlighted her "girl-next-door" image and her career took off
In 1949, her contract with Warner was terminated and she signed with Century Fox .
In 1950, she landed her most memorable role in " All About Eve " with Bette Davis .

She was an American actress (1925-1969) who was initially signed up by Universal after attracting interest as a model.

She then was in several B-list movies before being signed up by Warner Brothers after working as a pin up model.

Her initial TV career was cut short by depression and personal troubles concluded by the death of her husband to cancer. After one previous suicide attempt she suceeded in 1969:
