That's fun, because I collaborated several times with a Japanese woman who was born in Geneva and spent all her life in this city.
I never was in Japan, so I asked her a lot of questions.

She sometimes travelled back to Japan to meet her grand parents.
She was not fond at all by the ultra patriarchal Japanese culture.

I really think that we are sponges who are first influenced by our parental but even more also by our social and school education. That is why our school education must be rich, tolerant and of excellent quality.
I'm always suspicious about an education that promotes national pride. That's already a form of manipulation.

All these national contempts are stimulated to manipulate people through a more or less fear, hate and disguts on the others.

It is a common duty to ensure tolerance and friendship.

The Chinese feel much the same about the rest of the world. It is not even clear that Africans are viewed as human beings at all.

British, French, Germans, and Russians believe that they are the best and everybody else is inferior.

You seem to be unaware that most black journalists are employed by small black owned weekly newspapers and monthly magazines.

Being a white person living in a city that for many years had neighborhoods that were almost entirely African-American I have had the experience of feeling very isolated in the face of hostility. I have had the experience of being disliked and rejected simply for my skin color. Thus, I have an appreciation of what minorities go through every day.

Being white, I also have extensive experience of being exposed to the overt and covert racism of white people. Racists feel very threatened by oppressed minorities gathering together for mutual aid and support, as well as any efforts by poor people to cross racial boundaries to better their common economic lot.

My reactions are racist and I will instinctively fall in with my own kind. That does not mean that I have to be blind to the institutional racism that permeates American society. I do not feel the need to justify racial injustice or deny that it exists. It is my belief that it weakens and impoverishes our society.

Given the racism that permeates Anglo-American culture, why wouldn't black journalists and policemen form groups for mutual protection, sharing methods to improve their lot, and develop strategies to better their situation?

You can't argue for a black association for any organization where-in a white association will immediately be barred. That is the very definition of racism. Yet it is allowed to go on.

I think that toplessness and #FreeTheNipple should be legal. There is no double standard in real life, and body image issues have crossed gender lines. I worried about my looks and weight from about 1989-2004 when I was in secondary education and college, and if I even compared favorably to other males who work out. Manorexia and drinking too much water almost killed me in 2004, but I am back with a vengeance in weight loss now.

There should be no rules against toplessness in males or females. If Ashton Kutcher goes shirtless on the cover of TIME, or if the next cover features a Page 3 model topless, people should relax. It's just people with their shirts off, and everyone can worry about looks and fitness level whether they are gay or straight, male or female. No double standards...

I find the premise that the Angloshere is the sole fount of racism both offensive and prejudiced. I don't go to a local curry house anymore because when I took my West Indian friend there they made monkey impersonations behind his back. My Sikh newsagent hates Moslems and Africans with a will and the West Indian and Somali communites in London are doing their best to up the figures on knife crime. In Kenya people are openly contemptuous against other tribes in the same country.
Racism is a world wide problem, every single ethnic group has people within who for some reason hate people from other groups, and people who like other groups.
Personally I haven't really got the time to hate anyone.
