She´s a little dumb some times. From a interview with Larry King:
"KING: You like punching people? CARTER: It was so much fun. You have to -- oh, God. I have a great story about Bubba Smith. You remember Bubba Smith? KING: Great football player. CARTER: We did an episode where there was a bunch of football players, and I've forgotten exactly what happened, but they all sort of go crazy and Wonder Woman has to go in and flip them and do this and do that. I'd been working with these stunt people for a lot of years. And the director comes over, OK, now Lynda's is going to come over here, and she will just flip you right other here. But there will be a mattress. He said, ain't no woman gonna flip me! He said, forget it. And I said -- he said, she couldn't do it if she tried. And so I just -- I kind of winked at the cameraman. And they started rolling. I said, let me just try. And they start rolling. He didn't know it was rolling. And it's just leverage, really. KING: You threw him? CARTER: I threw him. Whoop." She said Bubba Smith, who appeared in Light fingered Lady, when really it was Lawrence McCutcheon, in Deadly Sting. Even there are trivia with this mistake (in IMDB, for example), confounding the football´s players. But the worst is: "And it's just leverage, really." How stupid have to be to say that? |

It is just leverage.
That said, she was certainly boastful. |

Lynda in Apocalypse Now
>Possibly, but consider this. Lynda Carter goes to the Philippines to shoot Apocalypse Now. The Typhoon strikes and they are stuck in the jungle for weeks waiting for the weather to clear up. During that time, Lynda would be living, eating and bitching with Linda Carpenter. She then has to return to the US to shoot Wonder Woman and is replaced in the movie by Colleen Camp.
That is very close to what happened: I have just listened to Francis Coppola's narration on the Apocalypse Now blu-ray (on the Redux version) and he states that Cyndi Wood replaced Lynda Carter. Lynda was cast before the typhoon hit and by the time the unit were ready to shoot her scenes she had been cast as Wonder Woman and was unable to join them. So, it's confirmed - Lynda was meant be in the film. The Colleen Camp centrefold shot is featured in the Redux scene in the helicopter and is hanging up at the army store (alongside centrefolds for the other two girls). I guess we could spin off onto another argument about why Lynda needed a centrefold taking when Colleen was going to be in the film anyway... maybe when LC pulled out they decided to switch the girl who would end up in the chopper. All this just makes the controversial photo more credible. The unit would need a c/fold ready to go as a prop and it makes sense they would take one of LC before she left the US to go on location. Interesting trivia: on one of documentaries on the BD set, the still photos that appear on-screen are credited to the Hugh Hefner image archive. |

I thought than was clear than Lynda´s picture IS NOT a fake of that Colleen´s picture. So, while the "real" picture (with another face) do not be found, we have to assume than the picture is real.

"The Picture" - in some kind of original print - showed up on iOffer in I think March in an 11x17 high quality print. I noticed it after it was gone. No real markings, not a gatefold, clearly not the one from Harvey etc. For sale by a seller called Adam12Gal that clearly has access to a lot of original prints (google image search "adam12gal lynda carter").
The page. http://www.ioffer.com/i/lynda-carter...hoto-203042122 Maybe, one day, it will show up again. Last edited by moonspellsmoon; August 25th, 2011 at 05:20 AM.. |

Lynda Carter was just a series of fortunate career moves. DOnt get me wrong, she's beautiful, one of a kind.
Colleen was(is) a character actress, sort of softer side of Shannon Whirry (spelling?) Very alluring in her own way, and often exploited, casting-wise,for that reason. Both are attractive women, IMO, for sure. |

Japanese pictorial
These pics come from the Japanese version of "Apocalypse Now" pictorial and are much larger than what is already posted. As you can see there is a mole on the inside of her breast which hasn't shown up in any of the other pictures in this thread. If any of the possible models has a mole there, it would conclusive proof of who she is. Because of the location, it is possible that this mole would turn up in a bikini shot.
