I am not stuck in an era!
I Started work in 1981, got married in 1983 and I still listen to the following at the least every week Led Zep Pink Floyd Yes Camel Focus Black Sabbath Wishbone Ash Lindisfarne Mike Oldfield Emerson Lake and Palmer Jethro Tull David Bowie so the 70's were THE musical time for me I still wear T shirts and Wranglers and sneakers (Sketchers) after work and I have 4 leather jackets But I like the look of big hair birds a la 1980's |

Well, yes. I'm a mod stuck in the the new wave 70s. Love the 60s vibe. Will never change. I love it!

I never was much of a music guy (except for pre - ca. 1973 rock) but am I the only one who is appalled at the idiotic movies coming out these days? I used to love new movies (well, some of them), but I couldn't care less about much of anything any more.
The best thing that could happen to Hollywood would be an economic holocaust that would destroy the earning/spending power of anyone under 35. Make 'em sweat for that $ for a change. Instead of taking advantage of their adolescent market's utter ignorance of anything that came out before they were housebroken... |

My wife accuses me of being an 18th century English Squire with strong whiggish tendencies.

Stuck? No more like normal
No worries mates. No one is stuck in an era, you are simply attached to fond memories, as is everyone.
Line 100 people up against the wall and ask them what is the greatest music ever made. 99 will say the music they listened to as a teenager or a young adult. IMHO this is because this the the point in you life in which you first make an emotional connection with someone other than your parents. This is why we're here on this forum lamenting the lack of pubic hair on the models. Probably remembering the first time you stuck your hand down a girl's knickers and played with the fur. |

I totally, like, agree with the guy who started this thread. Give me '80s metal, and '80s economic expansion, for the rest of this millennium! But the President doesn't have to be a Republican or a cowboy...
Seriously, I am stuck in the better days of the late '80s and early '90s for metal, the late '80s to early '00s for how education and my bank account should be, and 2003-04 for how my body should look. The last 5-10 years have been terrible, except for iTunes, iMac, broadband Internet, and websites like VEF. We need time travel to fix it all. |

I don't like the era I am living in now. I wish I could go back in time and live out the rest of my days in the late 1950's and 1960's in Chicago and in my neighborhood South Shore which was back then the greatest neighborhood in all of Chicago.
