I now wish I've done the same thing.

Wasted 5 hours of my life on the biggest Super Suck Bowl I have ever seen in my life since the 1988 Super Bowl where the Redskins routed Elway and the Broncos by 32 points while using a backup QB.

I lost several $50 and $100 bets to several friends, totaling over $600 and that was a fortune in 1988:

about $1,274 by today's money.

Brian you have dropped down my list of learned members. You can't have an insomnia attack when you fall ASLEEP. Insomnia is can't go to sleep.

Williams had made the QB spot his own by the time the play offs came around, although only started three games that year, the offence preferred him to the unpopular Schroeder, who was also starting to make too many errors.

Your're right. The truth is that I had stayed up all day and night Saturday into Sunday on VEF and watching porn before finally nodding off at game time. Perhaps, my intuition detected what was coming.

Great happenings for the Raiders in the Bay Area. The 49ers have used their territorial rights to block the Raiders from playing in the Giants' ballpark. Mark Davis has a choice of subletting Levi stadium from the 49ers for the seven games or swallowing his pride and playing in Oakland. I would guess that he would have to play all the preseason exhibitions on the road unless he can make a deal with Oakland, too.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Back in the days of Tittle and Unitas several teams were controlled by owners with gambling interests and some to the mob. Some refs and players were betting on games and more than one was fixed. Pete Rozelle did a lot to clean that up.

Looks like he will get off easy even if he is found guilty in a court of law.

60 days in jail, 6 months probation, $500 fine.

What a waste of police and court manpower and time and resources over misdemeanor charges.

His main worry is the NFL even if he is to be found not guilty in a courty of law but even if the NFL were to fine him a million or 2 million dollars and suspend him from being an owner for months, he can afford the $ anyway.
