Is all of this "Mueller report is going to be released soon" noise an attempt to force Mueller to end his inquiry? I thought he hasn't been able to interview that Russian Corporation yet. Or can he continue and just release a partial report soon?

He will never be able to interview folks from the SVR front, but has supposedly gathered information from "assets" within that organization. This information is unlikely to be broadcast lest said "assets" be compromised. Note that the FBI is confined to domestic surveillance. So, "assets" located in Europe and Asia have been developed by the CIA and NSA.

A senior U.S. Justice Department official on Friday shot down expectations that Special Counsel Robert Mueller's office will deliver a highly anticipated report next week on its investigation into possible Russian interference in U.S. elections.

'Any reports that the Special Counsel's report will be delivered to the DOJ during the week of February 28 are incorrect,' the official said.

CNN reported on Wednesday that the Justice Department may announce as early as next week that Mueller had given Attorney General William Barr his report. Barr would review the findings and submit his own summary to Congress, CNN reported.

'It's not surprising that they would not issue a report while the president is in Vietnam engaged in high-stakes international diplomacy,' said a person close to the administration, referring to President Donald Trump's meeting with North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un.

Not to mention that indictments of Ivanka, Jerrod, Don, Jr., and Eric may be in process. Just because the DOJ cannot indict a sitting president doesn't mean that his kids can embezzle from his inauguration committee, peddle influence to foreign powers, and engage in massive money laundering schemes.

President Donald Trump's convicted former lawyer Michael Cohen is expected to accuse him of criminal conduct during a hearing on Capitol Hill.

Speaking on Wednesday to a House of Representatives panel, Cohen will allege possible tax fraud and racist language by Mr Trump, say US media.

The White House has questioned why lawmakers invited someone who has pleaded guilty to lying to Congress.

Cohen was sentenced to three years and will begin his custodial term in May.

On Tuesday, he was officially disbarred from practising law by the New York State Supreme Court, New York media reported.

The penalty came as he began three consecutive days of testimony in a closed-doors hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee. His Wednesday testimony to the House Oversight Committee will be public.

Just a little diversion, before Cohen's public bit ~ apparently in the closed Senate Session, a day before ~ he has turned a few GOP heads away from blind Trump-support. Even Mitch has gone from 100% support of Trump's "Emergency drama" to a position that "not made my mind up yet".

US President Donald Trump has defended North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in the case of an American college student who died after being jailed by North Korea.

Speaking in Hanoi after his summit with Mr Kim broke down, Mr Trump said he did not believe the North Korean leader was aware of Otto Warmbier's ordeal.

Mr Trump said: "He tells me he didn't know about it, and I will take him at his word."

Warmbier was jailed in North Korea in December 2015 during an organised tour.

Pyongyang authorities returned the 22-year-old to the US in a coma in July 2017, and he died days later in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.
