No, it doesn't bother me at all. Both of my parents are from Europe - Dad from Italy, Mom from France - so I was raised with a much less parochial attitude toward sex than your average American. I have always viewed my fathers' reaction as a double standard, since, had it been me, instead of my sister, his reaction probably would have been 'Boys will be boys' She was of age, and parlayed the money she made into a Masters Degree from UCal Berkeley and now works for a Silicon Valley firm pulling in $250k a year, doing, in her words, "Three hours work in a 40 hour week"
And I would be less than honest if I didn't point out that were 'Jody' - not her real name obviously - not my sister I would certainly want to fuck her.

Well, I must admit that if I found my step-daughter was doing porn I would find it immensely exciting (she is an adult, by the way). That may shock some people, if so, I apologize. But I am just being honest.

Several months ago I ran into a topic started on Legalporno forum (well-known for pretty extreme approach to porn). Question is asked and answered:

Do you think there is a huge difference between a hooker and a porn actress?
37% YES
63% NO

On less-extreme forum or in real life that 63% result could be higher. My two cents: IMHO - with a reason; personally, I couldn't recommend that job to anybody (or at least to vast-vast-vast majority).

There's an actress that goes by Rayveness. I came across one of her early videos awhile back. I think it was either a Randy West thing or Ed Powers...can't remember. She said she was from a Quaker family. I can only imagine the reaction of her father if/when he found out.

Interesting thread. As a regular porn user my attitude towards porn is a double standard to the point or absolute hypocrisy. If I am honest with myself, I don't really like porn, I just use it to fill a gap in my life, and if it wasn't for other people's daughters willingness to do it, that gap would be unfilled.

I do have a daughter and if I found out that she was doing porn I'd probably be hurt, disappointed in myself and in her and feel that she was throwing something away that was impossible to get back. In a previous life, I have had contact with a sex worker, and not in a "work" context. She was a lovely girl and assured me that to her is was just a job and separate from her life which I was a part of. I couldn't separate it however so the problem is clearly mine.

As I said, a double standard and a hypocritical one at that.

Yep. That's very strange, because fathers surely know what happen when their daughter is in bed with her boyfriend(s)?
