For those who don`t already know it Reservoir Dogs is in all respects simply an americanised version of the 1987 Chinese action film City On Fire.
Never heard of that Chinese movie before nor any of that plagiarism accusation story ever!

No reason to be at me buddy - you're not that Chinese director, are ya?

edit:
Jackie Brown was a copycat deal also?

From Wiki

City on Fire is Ringo Lam's most celebrated work. Quentin Tarantino's 1992 film Reservoir Dogs includes several similar key plot elements and scenes, most notably the famous Mexican standoff near the end of the film. When Tarantino was accused of copying the film without attribution, he told the press he was "dying to see it."

Naturally my was directed at Teenie and his attitude , since i don`t mind anyones success providing they always remember to credit all those responsible for it.

That said though he is pretty much a total tosser

Yes and in his head he silently finished that sentence with " For the fortieth time , as i`m thinking of doing a directors cut "

Default Look, I think we are missing the point here...

See, here's the problem... You're not really saying if you want to live, or die happy. I'm thinking, if you're on a desert island with only a willing and (admittedly beautiful) woman and a splendid blade, you should have your way with the woman, and then slash up. If you really want to keep on existing, I think you'll need more than a knife. I mean, it's your fantasy - but couldn't you include a (I don't know) rescue helicopter? Or at least an oceangoing sailboat? Maybe it's not stocked with all the provisions; just a few Brussels sprouts and perhaps a delightful (but insouciant) frisee salad, and some weeks worth of fresh water, but nothing that really represents, well, survival (in style). And maybe you'll be able to induce (or seduce) the beautiful woman to accompany you to Civilization. Oh, and while you're sailing around, roger her silly while you can. Because she probably won't hang around with someone that puts her on an island with only you, and a knife.

Thanks for stating that scoundrel, as I think dear OtisOne is in need of a cold shower, a bucketload of G&T and a good lie down...

However, this doesn't explain why the pair of you weren't out celebrating on a desert island and were instead sitting at your computer answering these threads at the time -especially as these posts are dated at New Years' Eve!

Of course, I can hardly talk, especially considering I did spend my New Years Eve on a desert island...raiding a leper colony.

Why? You don't want to know...

Not unless Elmore Leonard stole it. Jackie Brown is an adaptation of Leonard's _Rum Punch_
