Personally I'll just get it buzzed off again when I'm able to get to my barbers, just curious what others do.

For me, simply no. Each is as is and not fix it with paint.

Salut !

I go to the local barbers which used to be run by two guys, both called Pete !!,after a while, the Pete who owned the barbers, emigrated to Dubai,so other guys started working there, they all did a good job of my hair, so I kept going. Then I turned up one Saturday morning, and two very nice girls were doing the cutting instead. They also do a good job of my hair, with the added bonus of having a nice girl leant over me.

Ah, barbers, the bane of my life until I discovered I could do it myself - so I do, once every three months with a number 5 guard on the shaver.

Pity I can't do dentistry at home, I'd be sorted.

I do it myself. Number 1 all over, number 2 in the winter months. I used to go to the barber, always a barber not a hairdresser but the problem I always had was regardless of how specifically I told them I wanted it cutting, they always, consistently and without fail cut it the way they thought it would suit me best, not the way I asked them to do it.

So now it is regular, even, with little variation and I haven't had to buy a comb in a decade. And the truth of the matter is I simply can't abide small talk about football (which I detest) where I'm going on my holidays (haven't decided, probably won't be anywhere you've heard of anyway) or what's on the telly (sorry fella, don't have a telly, when I split up from my ex wife I decided I didn't really need a telly, and no, I'm not sitting here while you cut my hair and telling you all about my separation).

So yea...

I`m for not

My hairs been flecked ( I said flecked , so don`t report me by mistake) with grey since i was in my middle twenties ( Although all things considered i`m surprised i wasn't bald by age nine) and has only become more so since then.

It`s not the salt and pepper ( P-push it real good) kind of look though , which i understand is thought of as cool . It's more a weird look , as in is my hair grey or is it not ?. Also if i let it grow beyond a certain length a white streak appears beginning from near my right eye brow and zooming straight back , the same happen when i let a beard grow . I then have two white streaks going down either side from my mouth to jaw line and underneath.

Actually i really like it as my late uncle Robert (Mothers side) had exactly the same hair and beard , so since i always tend to think of him as my actual father it's nice to have that kind of added resemblance ( I look like him as well) and extra link to him

Just i can't really let my head hair or facial grow as i then look a bit like a wannabe super hero , you know what with the three white streaks an all

I go to a barber about 5 minutes walk from my front door in North London. It is run by two Turkish brothers in their 20s who are both skilled barbers, plus you get a little glass of Turkish tea, very strange but very palatable, while you wait. They charge £8 and I could get a cut for £5, but I only go if my hair won't fit inside my motorcycle helmet so the extra £3 isn't so very severe an extravagance.

I agree dohupa, you don't want Glen the barber leaning you back with his man boobs in your face. I have had the exact thing you speak of, a thirtyish woman full figured and smelling nice. It felt so good, the warm water and her hands in my scalp. What did I care that her breasts were cutting off my oxygen supply? After that, she put a nice hot towel on my face. Other times I've had the lovely lady leaning into my elbow protruding over the arm of the chair.

I go to a pretty naff barbers that has a blackboard sign with lame quips around the word hair. Like come hair for your hair or hair today short tomorrow. They hardly even make sense never mind crack a smile.Have my hair cut by a tiny guy called barry. Who likes to tell old jokes and complain about the council and the street lights switching on during the summer at 6pm when its broad daylight. All very boring but for a fiver its cheap I just try and tune him out by staring at the mirror and wondering who the enormous lump in the seat is

Doesn't anyone go to a coiffeur any more?
Do they still exist with that as a trading name?
