Daniel Son in the Karate Kid. Its the "story of a hopeful, young karate enthusiast whose dreams and moxie take him all the way to the All-Valley Karate Championship. Of course, he loses in the final round to that nerd kid. But he learns an important lesson about accepting defeat."

Couldn't see the story line going anywhere other than his death to be fair. But had hoped he`d somehow smarm his way into the final season. I think he deserved to live till the eighth as a thank`eee . For being one of the best of the original cast who put in such a grand performance throughout.

As much as I love GOT, one of it's flaws is that it it often feels rushed and sometimes contrived as it did on this occasion. If at the start of that scene, I could guess what was coming, surely Baelish would have. He was too clever by half to be caught out by such an obvious scheme.
