A couple of years ago I paid a hefty price on ebay to snag CGBC #1. And, for the most part, it was worth it. After watching the video you can tell the contest was still in its early years and developing; the hotter, more theatrical performances would come later. The video indicates that they had been doing these contests for years; long before the video series began in 1985. I assume the burgeoning video tape market at the time inspired them to begin producing this series. And, this one is a finals contest; the first contestant is mentioned as #8. Also, in post-production they decided to use transitions and a slow-motion effect during the performances which was unnecessary and doesn't look great at all.

Regardless, here is the first in the classic bikini contest series featuring: Cheryl, Brenda, Leslee Bremmer, Renee, Donna, Karen, Denise, Kim, Monique Gabrielle, and Annie.

I just downloaded and everything seemed to work fine. Has anyone else had this problem?

With VLC I initially had the reverse problem, picture but no sound. Then I switched to Track 2 and got sound.

does anyone know why only those 2 years of mission beach contest is avaiable? be nice to see earlier and later years too haha
