Looks like I am going to lose again for betting against the Patriots unless the Chargers, currently down 35-7 at halftime, can pull off a miracle in the 2nd half!!

After reading all the press about how Brady is washed up I was nervous about betting the Patriots would win by more than 4. You have to give this veteran group a chance of keeping Mahomes off the field enough to beat KC. KC does still have to be the favorite in Kansas City, but it is far from a given.

My bankroll was destroyed by a combination of reckless bets, upsets, and unlucky spread breakdowns (e.g. Texans vs Jets) I could only make 2 bets. So Patriots and Saints got the money. I don't expect the Eagles vs. Saints to be anymore competitive than this one. Remember, it is the Saints -8.

You just can't win betting on them or betting against them.

Well, I am 3-1 on my picks this weekend.

Fucking Patriots always want to ruin everything!!

Next week I am picking the #1 Rams over the #2 Saints and the #1 Chiefs over the #2 Patriots.

The Chiefs vs. the Rams in Super Bowl 53.

Saints didn't cover, but all 4 home teams won.

My first instinct is that today's game will shake the Saints out of their complacency and Saints prevail at home. The veteran Patriots are able to play ball control and keep Mahomes from outscoring them. Tomorrow, I might switch. These should be good games and really can go either way.

Once again all 4 "Wild Card" winners fail on the road. Tres boring. I'll find movies to watch next Sunday.

This is a relatively rare occurrence. It happened in 2016, but usually at least one advances to the conference finals. Wild card teams have even gone on to win the Super Bowl.

This year we had a combination of several strong division winners and weak wild card teams. Only the Chargers had really impressed, but found themselves quickly buried in Foxboro. The usually strong North divisions had off years. The Colts, Cowboys and Eagles ought not to struck fear in anyones hearts.

I have been looking at these games hoping to find some indication of a sound bet. All I can say is that both games look like toss ups to me. The books appear to agree having set the lines at home teams giving 3 points. Should be interesting and hard fought games, but one crazy bounce can change the outlook.

Got all ready to watch football, the first game that starts at 2:05 pm.

Pizza and wings are on the way.

Got beers ice cold and ready.

Only to now realize both games are tomorrow and not today.

I thought they were today since the playoffs games have been on Saturdays.

Well, at least my FML day is not as bad as these folks:

That's pretty funny.

I'm so underwhelmed at the match ups that I'm choosing to work over watching the games.

I'm expecting the Patriots and Saints to win. So more SB pain for Atlanta.
