How to improve VEF

So does everyone else. Only one problem, it can't be fixed. VBulletin totally redesigned the search engine when they released version 4 so the only way it will ever be better is if the powers that be decide to upgrade the software.

Just as big an issue with the search engine is on our side

If the forum doesnt ask for a basic level of detail like a title , text , tags , technical specs etc many choose to add nothing

No search engine is going to find any of that

Thats not even taking into account the previous habit of nobbling website names with non-alpha numeric symbols so no copyright owner or bot searching would find things easily.

I suspect more than a few still prefer to be cautious and keep their posts of the radar

Curious how folks havent worked out you can avoid the website name but still add useful
titles and tags..copyright hunters arent searching for solo , girl girl , soft , hard , pics scans etc

Given the upper limit in 2013 of images in a post was 125 , now 150
200 would indeed have been too many

Strictly speaking there is no perfect way that would suit everyone

Filehosts links die , even imagehost gallery links housing the majority of pics off the forum server, which was seen as an option to replace large gallery posts have a major downside - they cant be cleaned periodically by Mods

I'd expect Hilary Clinton will allow Donald trump to mount her from behind
before this topic reaches any sort of workable solution that would appease everyone.

Believe it or not but some folks dont care how banal a thread looks as long as they can pick and choose which pics they like

Not a suggestion but a statement. This is an excellent website and has proved so since inception. One of the key factors is and has been the standard of Moderation. I have been on other sites where the moderation has been poor and they have soon plummeted into anarchy. On this site the Moderation has been consistent, strict and fair and it shows.

Well done the Mods on maintaining fair and high standards.

Problem with trying to make specific topics disappear is there are some pretty random threads about which are open to any subject on purpose.

I somewhat doubt that. In particular, you are automatically subscribed to threads you post on, so for me that goes into thousands. You can explicitly unsubscribe to them, and it might be possible to change the default in your settings. I have not seen anything that would suggest that automatic subscription is any different from non-automatic one.
