There's too much of it, I think a lot of sports talk now among many is the odds and their winnings rather than the sport itself

My older brother some years back stopped watching footy on TV so his kids didn't get that gambling thing in their heads.

True, it's said we would gamble on 2 flies walking up a wall

but sometimes enough is enough

My gambling is the casino maybe twice a month, the odd game of footy, that's it ... don't even play Tattslotto or Oz Lotto

I agree the gambling corporations have far too much exposure

They've replaced tobacco as equal enemy no 1 imho

Illegal drugs & alcohol are on the same level

We think of ourselves as very honest as Australians
but theres nothing honest in big business

Gambling addiction remains a huge problem, mostly due to aforementioned 'pokies'.

I remember when pokies were contained in tee-shirts.

Yet over on this rapidly sinking island we're bombarded via the telly by gambling adverts trying to tempt the unenlightened.
Tempted predominately with ads voiced by total gimps. Who pass for celebrities and have made a small multi million fortune , despite no discernible actual talent whatsoever
