Imagebam

Anyone besides me having difficulty viewing images at Imagebam (not to be confused with Imagebox or Imageavenue)? For about the last three weeks whenever I click on a thumbnail it goes to the Imagebam site but never opens the pic. For the record, I have a Mac, use Safari as a browser, and utilize Ghostery but from what I can tell it has no negative effect on Imagebam.

Well, I tried it with Firefox and it DOES work accessing Imagebam, so I guess it was something to do with Ghostery, but I do not use Firefox as much as Safari so I don't have Ghostery installed on it (if it's even available for Firefox). Still, I don't understand it as I "pause" Ghostery on Imagebam's site but it doesn't work for some odd reason. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion!

Brave has a built in ad blocker as well as third party tracker blocking etc.
It might be worth trying to see if it gives you a better experience.

Haven't used it since they stopped supporting the Mac OS = I switched to Imageding.

here's a list of my extensions for vivaldi, and with only a rare buggaboo, I never see an add, although, I do have to turn stuff on to see some things like imagebam these days. I've made a bunch of rules for some of these to specifically fuck some domains like FB, and Twit etc.

For imagebam I have to temporarily allow imagebam, then hit "continue to image" on a black screen. then imagebam is blocked as soon as i close that session. I get no popups, popunders, new tabs, no bullshit, but it's annoying to have to click 3 times on the first imagebam tab i open, then switch back and open all the other current imagebam tabs i want, snag them all if worthy, hen revoke all temp permissions.

I have noticed that in some cases the thumbnail in the post is showing the image, but when you click it and it directs to Imagebam, it does not show the image. Then I click the gallery icon, and those affected images are deleted or corrupted. Seems to be a more common issue on some very old posts.

That's because ImageBam "partnered" with some other company and has turned to complete and utter shit. It's gotten so bad, if I see the link goes to ImageBam, unless it is something I am absolutely sure is new to me, and I can't find it anywhere else, I won't even bother to click the thumbnail. If I accidentally do click an icon and it goes to image bam I usually just close the tab.

Image Bam used to be my go-to. Now, it is my flee from.

I came to this part of the forum specifically about this host, and it appears that others are having similar troubles with this dratted host. Just to let you know that my AVG is registering it as having a virus, so could we consider banning members from using it?

Got a new one today. Pimpandhost now insists on a script that on every image pops up and asks you to please turn off your ad blocker.
On a porn image host.
Yeah.
No. Not a chance. No chance at all.

Even though I never see advertisements on my laptops, there are several that now insist on me allowing them to run scripts on their site, The try to refer me to places that I have black holed.

Imgbox insists on me allowing their site + Ajax.google to post, but nothing is required to view.
