I had tried to see if it was posted here already, but it does not appear so.. Lynda Wiesmier died in December, 2012 from brain cancer! It's sad how many Playmates died of cancer at relatively young ages...

Not so sure that's not an internet hoax. Gonna take more than a fakey
looking headstone and a couple of dubious websites to convince me of
it being true. Wiki is showing nothing at all, and there's been absolutely
no mention of this in Playboy either.....online or off. After some investigating,
I've found that she was supposed to been buried in Ramona California, but
a search of that town's local paper's obituary columns, for the last 5 years
came up blank when Lynda's name was entered. I can't say that it's true
or not, but the available information tends to believe otherwise.

I don't consider IMDB to be a "dubious" source. And they list her as "Deceased December 1, 2012". While I would be thrilled to find it is a hoax, I am inclined to believe it to be true. Sadly. What I don't understand is that by now, if it were a hoax, that somebody, like Lynda herself, would not have cleared up the matter. Curiouser and Curiouser. I wonder if she has a Facebook Page? Hmmm.

That photo looks photoshopped too. I've seen that lettering on chiseled, or stamped metal (for example, look at close up pictures of the Stanley Cup), but I've never seen lettering like that on a chiseled stone. That chiseling is too fine for stone; when I've seen a chiseled stone, the lettering is much thicker, because it's faster, easier, and cheaper to do it that way.

Also, there no date of birth and no other details outside the photo. I think it's a cropped picture of a blank stone with a font typed out on top, with some effects thrown in.

You know, I don't care about all these observations and deductions and chiseled stone and the like. I just want to know if it's true. A link saying it's not true. Or a hoax. I was doubtful at first until I saw it on IMDB, too. And I'm hoping it's not true. I would welcome it not being true.

Ya know bud.....as of yesterday, that wasn't even POSTED at IMDB,
so if that's not dubious, I dunno what is. Not a single person here
doubted your sincerity in your post, but you take offense to it like
someone called you a liar or something. This isn't the place to get all
snitty because we all find it difficult to believe that a person that we've
all loved and admired for probably a helluva lot longer than you have,
could be passed away and not a single one of her followers be aware of
it, or that Playboy, who considers Lynda to be not only one of their classic
playmates, but loved by all within that organization, would not mention
one single solitary thing about her one way or the other concerning this.
So take a chill pill and don't believe that everything you hear on the internet
is gospel, without anything more than what you've shown to back it up.

She appears to be alive and well, which is very nice .

I'm sorry to say but Lynda's passing is true. I learned of it on Charlotte Kemp's facebook page. She did die Dec. 1st. She had the cancer form sometime and kept things very private until the end.

I have nothing to add to yes/no, but to me that looks like a simple concrete cast marker - a temporary in place before a full permanent marble or bronze is placed. Just from noticing markers around the family's new placements.
