If Playboy is the girlie mag in which "good girls" show all, then tan lines say "Playboy." Teasing us at the beach at at the pool, good girls cover up with their bikinis, keeping those forbidden areas away from the sun and our wanting eyes. But by the miracle of Playboy, just for us in the pages of the bunny mag, those same girls have taken off their bikinis and shown what til now was hidden underneath. The pure whiteness of their skin where their bikini had been proves how good they have been, how they have kept themselves covered, until now.

Two samples of the beauty of tan lines: Jo Collins, Miss December 1964 and Sharon Clark, Miss August 1970. What beautiful chalk-white buns these girls have! Deservedly so, both girls were honored as Playmate of the Year in 1965 and 1971 respectively.

Old school the only way to get a tan was in the sun so you know what no tan lines meant in the day? Everyone saw what you weren't supposed to see. Somewhat prudish? Sure, but then again I would never share either.
