American tv. What's your obsession with the soft focus?

you're going to have to provide examples in order to get an accurate answer because depending on the situation the answer could change. It could be in relation to a dream sequence or it could be used to cover up certain things.

I shall be in Vancouver at the end of the Month and I have booked the AmTrack down to Seattle where I am staying down town, no hire car. I am planning to visit the Museum of Flight. Any other great ideas on what is good in Seattle. I am there three nights, I like technology, biology, wildlife. parks and gardens, local beers, cheap and tasty food, local sights. Thanks

I vacationed in the area in 2006. Visited a friend outside Spokane who owns a toy robot museum, then rented a car to drive to Seattle where I spent a day or two. Toured the Science Fiction museum and ate at a sports bar downtown (don't remember the name) where I developed my fondness for Blue Moon beer. Walked around the downtown area and felt safe. They have a monorail system but it was down that night. Also drove up the coast, took the ferry across to Bainbridge Island, visited Olympic National Park where I stood next to a very young tame deer and walked through the rain forest area which is expansive and walked along the shoreline collecting a couple sea shells as souvenirs. A really nice time. I barely scratched the surface of things to do and see. Enjoy!

One vacation, the ex and I visited Orcas Island in the Puget Sound, where hunting is prohibited. It is really strange to come across a very large buck blissfully nibbling the fruit off a tree and not bothered by our presence at all.

Thanks to all for the suggestions. I had a terrific time in Vancouver, Seattle and Victoria, did everything on my list and lots from your suggestions. I collected local maps and data and can help out anyone else thinking of doing this.

The Amtrack down to Seattle was terrific and I got some nice shots of sunset.
I saw orca's in Puget Sound and black bears at the top of the mountain in Whistler.

Edit, if you are thinking of doing the mountains at this time of year, wear plenty of bug spray, the mosquito's were there a plenty and lots of nasty cleggs ( horse flies). It was 28c even at the Olympic emblem at the head of the mountain.

Japan & Cuba really? You just missed Taiwan, Korea and all of the rest of Latin America

BTW I have played softball (12 inch ball) without a glove but you dont want to try it with a baseball (9 inch ball and a tighter wound core) In High School I threw a 85mph fastball and would gladly throw a baseball at errr I mean to you so you could show us how the girls in the UK do it!

On behalf of Australians. Can you Americans, and northern neighbours, stop shooting us Australians dead?

We're trying to be as friendly as possible, but you're making it hard for us.
