Wink Fired for Posing Nude (Moved)

Similar themed to the Disgraced Minor Celebs thread, women that were fired for posing nude. I'm focusing on PB but others are welcomed. A subject that interests me since we are now living under harsh times. I also would like to know if they ever bounced back from this setback, how they are doing now, etc.
This first one I find the most distressing. She lost her gun and badge for posing. In the cop world, most would rather get shot than lose their LEO job. I wonder if she ever recovered from this.
Carol Shaya

In 1994, at time of the staging of her Playboy pictorial, Shaya was 24 years old and a patrol officer in the 45th precinct in the Bronx.[1] Shaya appeared in the August 1994 issue, in a partly open New York City police uniform jacket on the cover of the magazine, labeled "NYPD NUDE", and naked in a layout inside. The pictorial involved her using nightstick, handcuffs, and uniform in erotic and staged arrest scenes.[5] She received US$100,000 for the pictorial.[3][6]
At first reports of the appearance, the New York City Police Department attempted to ignore the incident, but then gradually took escalating measures.[1] In July 1994, Shaya was reassigned to a desk job at the Bronx Borough Command, not as a disciplinary action, but due to other female officers in her precinct complaining about verbal harassment from residents, who were asking about Officer Shaya's location and comparing them to her.[7] On October 28, the NYPD filed departmental charges against Shaya, for unauthorized off-duty employment and improper use of her uniform and the Police Department logo.[8] A police panel recommended a month's suspension,[5] but the final decision was left to the New York City Police Commissioner.[8] On March 7, 1995, Commissioner William J. Bratton dismissed Shaya, now using her married name Shaya-Castro, from the New York City police department. Bratton ruled that Shaya-Castro's appearance in Playboy violated the City Charter and the department's rules, so she was unfit to be a police officer.[9][10] He also cited her record, which included only three arrests in four years.[3][5]
In response, Shaya-Castro sued the department for US$10,000,000 for wrongful dismissal and gender discrimination.[6] In her claim, she said that other, male, officers who appeared in pornographic films, not just softcore pictorials, were merely suspended, and not fired. She also said that her assignments to non-patrolling duties, such as typing and driving other officers, precluded many arrests.[3][5] Her lawsuit was criticized by Stanley Crouch in an American Enterprise Institute speech.[11] The case, Shaya-Castro v. New York City Police Department, 649 N.Y.S.2d 711 ., was decided against her, and upheld on appeal.[12]
NYPD Nude, a documentary on Shaya's story, aired on British television Channel 4, on March 11, 1995.[13]

At first, the Job just wanted the Shaya mess to go away. Originally, the Job was ignoring it, she was not even transferred at first. I think Bratton was hoping that it would fade away from the papers. It probably would have, but Shaya kept giving interviews and ending up on TV or the papers, and during one interview, she even made corruption allegations. She made herself very hard to ignore.

Default Women of Wall Street 1989

H.R. departments, however, were not humored. The real controversy surrounding "Women of Wall Street" unfolded in the financial service offices where the women who lent their assets to the pictorial were employed. Shortly after the issue hit newsstands, Time Magazine caught up with Playboy's Wall Street ladies. The magazine discovered that seven of the nine workers featured in the cover story left their jobs. One of the three brokers in the issue went back to school. Things really didn't work out so well for Robin Mormelo, an administrative assistant and mother of two from New Jersey. She told the USA Today: "I want to be a centerfold and make a lot of money" (a blurb in the USA Today notes Playboy centerfolds were paid $15,000 at the time). A few months later, Mormelo was denied raises by her firm and quit, reports Time.

I don't know which seven so here is all of them

Fired for posing in Playboy

Heather Hull
Heather Hull was fired in March for having two photographs published in Playboy.

In the case of Hull, officials said, another prison officer alerted prison officials that Hull’s photographs were shown in the Playboy.
The picture above was published along with another one of her in a bustier in magazine.

The local photographer who took the photographs said Hull, like many women who are in Playboy, was hoping to get a career in modeling or acting.

But what doesn’t make sense is that she didn’t realize before that this would likely cause a problem for her at work.
The prison has a lot of rules. Officers are always getting in trouble for violating them.
Hull apparently thought that she would not be penalized at the prison for work that was done outside her job. Hull said she did everything she could to make sure she was not recognized in the pictorial. She had dyed her hair brown and used her maiden name.
But the inmates read Playboy.
And it’s possible that some of the inmates that she was supervising saw the photographs.
In addition to the photographs, there was a short write-up in Playboy.Hull used the name Ann Reinoehl.
Here is an excerpt:
Playboy: What does working in the big house entail:
Ann: You have to keep your eye on 100 people. We have male and female inmates. There is a lot of movement as the convicts are shifted around from classes to services to feeding to recreation and showers.
Playboy: What made you get into this line of work?
Ann: I am not the secretary type. Before this I worked in a coal mine, and I also used to work at a steel mill.
There is also the issue of Hull’s Constitutional rights to do as she pleases on her free time as long as it’s not illegal.
Her lawyer, Mark Featherman, of Philadelphia, said the Teamsters Union vowed to fight to get her job back.
Featherman said:
“I have never heard of anything quite like this before. I’ve heard of people being fired for a number of reasons, but never for posing in magazine.
“If a woman wants to pose in Playboy on her private time, that is her business. She should not be fired. What next?”

What a great shame. If only the financial houses had shown a similar healthy regard to transparency as these women, our current global financial mess would not have happened.

Not exactly fired, but the young Debee Ashby was expelled from King Henry VIII School, Coventry, for posing nude, or maybe just topless.

I used to work (back in the 80's) with a PW who posed topless for the Sun, she wasn't called Merita if I remember correctly her name was Emma, she went on to marry a Sergeant in the force.

Roberta Winterton was an Army Corporal who posed naked for The Sun-she has a thread here.

Roberta Winterton wasn't the only serving soldier to get into hot water after posing for the Sun. A couple of years later, Army medic Mandy Curtis who had already been disciplined for having an affair with a married NCO at her army camp, sold her story to the Sun, who illustrated it with a few pics- though I don't recall whether she actually went topless at that stage of the story.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...ate-Mandy.html

The Army had a sense of humour failure about this and sacked her, after which she went on to a brief career as a Page 3 girl.

First pic is from RoboDave77's 'P3- The complete history...' thread, which is what reminded me of the story- as far as I can see, there's no other presence on VEF for Mandy (Now added to 'Lesser-known modern models' thread)

...and from the same source, another one I'd forgotten. It seems Oxford University didn't have much of a sense of humour about their students posing nude in the 1990's either, although in this case, at least she managed to avoid getting thrown out. In 1993 (or 1995, depending on which account you read), at the Oxford May Ball, student Jocelyn Witchard stripped off and dived into the River Cherwell, an act which was caught by one of the press photographers the event seems to attract.

Jocelyn appeared in several papers the following day, which led to the Sun offering her a Page 3 shoot, resulting in some short-term fame over that summer.
The authorities of St Hilda's College weren't impressed by the image this was presenting of the college, and Jocelyn was forced to make a formal apology (apparently under thread of losing a scholarship) and turn down any further interviews, modelling offers etc.
