I guessed between 700-800, but I counted and I've got 856. A few years ago I moved to this flat and got rid of 2/3 of my books, but have accumulated more since. I probably had about 1500 back then. Mostly SF bought in the 1970s.

I've got more on my Kindle, but have virtually given up on e-books.

Somewhere between 200 and 300.

I'm almost forever on the edge of having too many books for the space I've got. Sometimes I do get too many and then I have to decide which to keep, or I decide to buy 1 or 2 more even though I know that'll take me over the 'limit' and so I have to decide which to keep.

Still, this keeps my little library changing stops it being a bit too 'samey' over time.

I've never counted. I have two six foot book cases of them and truthfully I've only read about half all the way through. Then I have a few dozen in my car and in my work bag that I rotate between. Another dozen or so in my bathroom magazine rack and assorted around the house like easter eggs. I think it's probably around 300-400. I'd say the majority are historical, biographical, or self-help/"how to-" books. The rest are art, wildlife, music, travel, classic lit, short stories and sci-fi fiction anthologies.

I have well over 3000 books in my calibre library, I reckon I´m reading 2 or 3 every week. As well as the stuff I have to read in my Open University course.

In honest to goodness paper format literally hundreds getting close to if not over 4 figures
Mainly horror, science fiction, fantasy, history, cinema, cryptozoology, the supernatural, general reference, comedy and more.

Over 500 graphic novels as well as tens of thousands of files for my kindle.

I've about 15 books on the go right now on many different subjects and oddly I can remember where I left off with them.

There should be a far too many to count option on the poll as well.

Currently I own approximately 300 books. I used to have many more, around 700, going all the way back to my childhood and teen years, but began down-sizing after I was forced to do several moves in a short period of time. I just got tired of moving and storing all the boxes of books that I would not read again. I donated them all to a small local public library where most were probably sold at book sales.

Never counted my books. A few weeks ago, i brought the most useless books to the recycling container. Books with printed logarithm tables from 1950s to 1960s or with records from ancient chess matches. Even these most useless books were 3 moving boxes.

My oldest books are from the 1700s.

Several hundred, don't know the exact number but the walls of my lounge are lined with bookcases and they are full of books (plus one of CDs and one of DVDs).
