yahooapis.com
I'm using Firefox 50 with NoScript and AdblockPlus active. When visiting this forum I normally would allow yahooapis.com in NoScript. Then all options in "Message Editor Interface" are enabled to format text by using the buttons there (e.g. bold, colour, etc.).
But when I allowed yahooapis.com today I noticed that the site is reloading "until the cows come home". Disabling AdblockPlus didn't help either. Surfing VEF is only possible for me without yahooapis.com. Is it just me? Typing BBCode is inconvenient.

I have the same set up except Firefox 50.1 and am not suffering the same problem (although I can't get rid of a livejasmin popunder).
Check what is being blocked in adblock+. A short while ago, some scripts at VEF were added to one of the standard subscription lists there and prevented the correct operation of a number of functions. Regards 40+

Update
Today yahooapis.com is working again as usual for me, the issue I had yesterday was maybe a temporary glitch only.

Glad to see your problem resolved itself but I thought I would throw this out there for any one who may have the same issue in the future.
Your problem may have been related to a bug fix in NoScript related to yahooapis.com. NoScript was throwing an error regarding whitelist and how it interacted with yui.yahooapis.com. Updating NoScript to any version beyond 2.9.0 will take care of the problem. |

It enables certain functions in the forum software (i.e the "Thanks" button etc.)

As an example, when you click 'Thanks' it gets your alias, adds it to the thanks list for the post, sorts the listing and updates the related counts. By using an API the thanks button can make one script call, say yahooapis.thanks.click() and have all of these action taken with one line of code. |

It's an ongoing issue related to easylist (the main subscription in ad blockers).
That list is now refreshed automatically and every time that happens, the scripts mentioned in my previous post are made active again overriding any specific settings you may have made. It seems you can no longer permanently allow things that are on easylist (perhaps the list is now replaced rather than updated?) Unless you feel inclined to keep disabling those scripts in your ad blocker, the only solution if you want full functionality appears to be to turn your ad blocker off once you have logged in to VEF. I now do this when moderating, but leave it on if just browsing VEF. Regards 40+
