I am a man of course, never heard of a Mythster?
Greenman was a cartoon character I created some years ago and it seemed appropriate to use it when I went online in 1999 for the first time.

Parents in China can sue their grown-up children if they fail to visit or give financial support.
Rationing in Britain during WWII saw food prices soar by 69%. In 1216 King John's royal treasure was lost in a river as he travelled from Kings Lynn to Lincoln.

Tough British actor Craig Fairbrass-married to ex page 3 girl Elke Kellick-actually started out as a background dancer on Top of the Pops. A sequence was shown in the programme TOTP-The Story of 1982 on BBC FOUR which I watched(and is available on BBC Iplayer) and he is seen with pompoms being leant on by Toni Basil(Hey Mickey!) whilst she dances. Craig went on to act in tv drama series London's Burning, the film Cliffhanger and turned up in Eastenders(British on-going drama) Also seen later was a young, odd looking 'chap' who would later find fame as Boy George of Culture Club.

FYI Arena, BBC Two's high-brow arts programme had a very relaxing, laid-back signature tune(whilst a bottle bobbed up and down on the sea with the word ARENA in neon pink inside it) which captivated young and old for years without knowing what it was(unless you were a prog-rock/70s fan) until the BBC revealed that it was Another Green World by Brian Eno.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36B225lLvY4 I've only just found out that the jaunty opening tune to the drama series 'Death In Paradise' is a faster version of 'You're Wondering Now' which was originally by The Specials, a ska music act of the 80s - you may recall other hits of theirs including 'Too Much Too Young' and 'Ghost Town' It was first done by duo Andy and Joey, then covered by the Skatalites before The Specials did their version of it. TV version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea0SPHeEDZE extended Original Specials version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEPfSWk0Lsw And incidentally I also see that the late Amy Winehouse recorded it, singing it with the Specials and at Glastonbury.

The final contract signed by the cast of Friends called for them to each receive $1 million dollars per episode and 2% of the shows back end earnings.
Since the show went off the air eleven years ago those back end earnings have hovered between 1-1.2 Billion dollars per year. So each member of the cast has been earning between $20-24 million per year. In effect they have earned more money since the show ended than they earned while it was on the air. |
