Problems with threads

I've having a few problems with some threads.

1. I prefer to look at threads from oldest to newest. On Babe of the Day in GDN and Boobs of the Hour, Ass of the Hour and Pussy of the Hour in Funnies, if I click on page 1, 2 or 3, it takes forever to load and more often than not I end up with a Bad Gateway 502. Sometimes, I can refresh and the page will come up. But if I click on the last page in the thread, there's no problem.

2. On the NFL and NBA Thread and How do you think about Homosexuality, if I go to an earlier page and click on View First Unread, it takes me to the last post in the thread instead of the first unread.

3. Today, I tried posting on the Food Chain in Funnies. I like to center my picture in a post. I tried to Go Advanced and after about 6-7 minutes, I got a Bad Gateway 502. I then tried to just post from the bottom of the page and again got a 502. I checked to see if my post was accepted and it was not. I tried posting again, same problem.

Is anyone else having problems like this? Can someone explain why I'm having these problems?

I'm not having those problems and i don't know why You're having Them,Save that the forum has been intermittently weird for months now.

I think it's a matter of VEF being a victim of it's own success. A lot of members accessing a lot of threads at the same time is going to tax the system. Add in the fact the data is coming from and going to almost everywhere on the globe. On top of that you have ad blockers, anonymizers, encryption, firewalls, et al.

I have encountered some odd behaviour, however, it has always been at times that are probably peak usage. From here to England there is a 4 or 5 hour time difference, depending on the season. I would hazard a guess that peak usage is between 6-10pm gmt.

Track when the problems occur. Is it during peak hours? What companion programs are you running? Which browser? I had a problem viewing images but it turned out to be a browser issue. Good luck.

I have similar problems in other threads, i want to post something and the site doesn´t seem to load Can´t post in the Food Chain also

Same here, especially in "Discussion & Talk Forum > Funnies" section

Since July 9, 2016 there have been server issues which cause pages to load slowly and cause hangs when adding to threads. Tech is still working on these issues so you will most likely see different errors as they try different fixes.

We're hoping they can get this resolved soon.

I'm usually on VEF between 9AM and noon (Eastern time in the US). Occasionally I may have my picture folder up for reference but I rarely run other programs when I'm on the forum. My browser is Firefox and I've had a few minor problems with image viewing, but nothing to make me change browsers.

The problem I have with the NFL and NBA Thread is a problem I've had for at least two years.

Had problems on two occasions, thought it had to do with my slow PC, yet as it happened again, here is what occured:

Saturday night July 30, when editing a post in the Hustler index whilst saving the additions to that post, things went beserk: it took ages to save and then got the message: database error;

oops; I logged out and in again and indeed only the first part of that post was still alive; post partly repaired with a back-up file from May 2016: latest additions are lost now.... pity.

Tonight when saving the newest post in theh Sexy Magazine thread got a double posting warning: "The post you are trying to save is a duplicate of the one... etc.". Yet as i look now at the thread there is no double post ??

latest "news": Again did try an update to that affected post in the hustler index thread tonight, now there is no problem whilst saving...??

Tech has been doing some reconfiguration of servers to try to improve things. There are new servers on order which will be setup in the coming weeks.

Hope the tech guy can solve the proplems, all i can say right now is, i can´t post in my favorite threads
