Slow, slow, quick, quick, slow
Curious phenomenon this morning (UK time). Where someone has linked to a post using the quote function (ie click the blue arrow to go to the linked post), it takes forever but if it's just a standard hyperlink it opens straghtaway.
For info I run XP/SP3 and Firefox 29.0 with adblock plus and noscript. Regards 40+

Same problem for me in Win 7 and Vista, Firefox, etc., for months now.
Work around: I find that a slow or hanging link/tab will "accellerate to normal speed" if I click the link again or refresh the page ("Ctrl r" in Firefox)--like if I had reminded it what it was supposed to be doing. e.d. |

Fast and Furious Quick
Just tried 8 cross links in a row, all opened within seconds for me.
I have Win7 and using Firefox 29.0. It might be an issue in your locations perhaps? Cheers GW |

It's an issue for me randomly, page numbers, hyperlinks , go to last post read... often leave you waiting over 5-8 seconds or re-clicking to get a response
added to this I've just clicked thanks to GWs last post & that hasn't registered at all (waited over 1 min) It is there now after making this post I'm having some other (hopefully non-related) probs with the forum search today too |
