Blocking sites in Firefox
Can anyone tell me how to block a site completely in Firefox?
I particularly want to block tinytwitt.com which is embedded somewhere in VEF. As I only have mobile broadband, having the browser try to connect to this site on every page is chewing my bandwidth something rotten and, on occasion, forcing timeouts. I have put it in as a generic address in Adblock+ but Firefox itself still tries to connect to it all the time. I know why we have to have these things, but is there a way of blocking it? Regards 40+

You need to check that your AdBlockPlus is up-to-date and also your active filters are blocking out TT.
You don't need to physically add TT to your AdBlockPlus list. Just open it up from your browser, the blockable items list appears at the bottom of the screen and find anything with TT on it and right-click to block it. |
