Estreeter always says he does not like quokkas, a furry very adorable marsupial only found on Rottnest Island which is 13 kilometers off the southwestern coast of Australia, just off the city of Perth. Estreeterhas often said that if he could he would have a quokka skinned, gutted and barbecue it and eat it. This is the story of why. When Estreeter was still too young to go to school he loved to collect and play with stuffed animals. He had hundreds of them. His favorites were the ones from Australian animals and of those his most treasured one was a quokka. It was so well crafted that the face of the toy looked just like a real quokka. After his mum gave him his daily bath Estreeter would have lunch and then get a small cup of candy and relax in the living room with his favorite stuffed quokka toy and watch cartoons on the telly. He would hug, and cuddle and kiss the quokka while watching the cartoons. One day though, his dad accidently stepped on the toy and a small piece of metal which was used in the construction of the toy protruded from it. When youngEstreeterplayed with the stuffed quokka that piece of metal scratched his cheek, and the scratch was deep and bled a lot and little Estreetercried and cried and said, "quokka hurt me, quokka hurt me", over and over. His father took away the toy and tried to fix it, but little Estreetersaid he didn't want it. He said to his father "throw it away. I no like quokka anymore."

I want 2 I can cuddle up to in bed

I want to fund a Quokka preservation charity

I have even petitioned the football club I follow to change their mascot from Magpies to Quokkas

The number plate on my car I personalised to QUOKKA

Every day I feel I've not done enough for Quokka's and feel guilty for it

I wish I was a Quokka
