The state of California is at the forefront of societal evolution again...
California can now start jailing people that refuse to use the preferred gender pronouns of nursing home residents after Democrat Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill Thursday. The law’s effect is limited to nursing homes and other long-term care facilities, but mandates that those who “willfully and repeatedly” refuse “to use a transgender resident’s preferred name or pronouns” can be slapped with a $1,000 fine and up to one year in prison, according to the California Heath and Safety code. The bill's sponsor, State Senator Scott Wiener released a statement applauding Gov Brown's signing the bill (SB 219): “Our LGBT seniors built the modern LGBT community and led the fight for so many of the rights our community takes for granted today. It is our duty to make sure they can age with the dignity and respect they deserve” That's right.. you can now face fines and or jail for using the wrong pronoun in a nursing home.. this coming from the bastion of tolerance and inclusion. Truly landmark legislation.

Gender neutral census ... WTF
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017...al-remove-sex/ If this is true then it goes way beyond stupid. I hope MPs block this stupid idea no doubt the brainchild of some worthless overpaid PC sack of shit Fuck the politicos and their obsession with appeasing imagined issues with the LGBT community, if you don't want people to declare their sex then have 3 boxes 1- Male 2- Female 3- FIIK The more they fiddle with censuses the less important they will be. It is an offence not to complete the census, those found guilty face a maximum fine of £1,000 and a criminal record. If they are going to fuck about with it I propose we send a shiver down the space where their spines used to be and everyone declare they are Muslims Q13 How is your health in general? put very bad, it's relative anyway so how do they know how you are feeling at that time. Q15 How would you describe your national identity? - choose other and write Under Attack it's almost seen as shameful to be British by those PC halfwits Q20 What is your religion? - Muslim the religion is actually Islam but what do these dumbass fucktards employed by HMG really know Or Other put Atheist but veering towards Islam as they will soon rule the world and you don't want to miss out. Q27 Were you actively looking for any kind of paid work during the last four weeks? put YES even if you are happy doing what you are doing. If they question you just say you bought the local newspaper the day they highlight jobs to see if there was anything better.

I suppose deep down I knew this would happen, but-
Today, the Boy Scouts of America announced that beginning next year, girls will be allowed to join and even reach the highest honor: Eagle Scout. According to NBC news, the board of directors voted unanimously to make the change to the organization that goes back over 100 years. "We believe it is critical to evolve how our programs meet the needs of families interested in positive and lifelong experiences for their children," said Michael Surbaugh, chief executive of the Boy Scouts. On the other side of the fence, the Girl Scouts didn't meet this news with cheers.. even tho the National Organization for Women has been on the Boy Scouts to make this change for some time now. According to a local CBS affiliate, unlike the Boy Scouts, the Girl Scouts have maintained girls-only status for all their programs. The empowerment of girls is at the core of its mission. “We know that girls learn best in an all-girl, girl-led environment,” said Andrea Bastiani-Archibald, a psychologist who provides expertise on development for the Girl Scouts’ national programming. Latino civic leader Charles Garcia, just days after being named to the Girl Scouts’ national board, wrote an opinion piece calling the BSA’s overture to girls “a terrible idea.” “The Boy Scouts’ house is on fire,” Garcia wrote. “Instead of addressing systemic issues of continuing sexual assault, financial mismanagement and deficient programming, BSA’s senior management wants to add an accelerant to the house fire by recruiting girls.” I'm guessing the boys won't be joining the girl scouts any time soon..

YouTube is now issuing account strikes on anyone with videos with perfectly legal bump fire stocks after the Vegas shooting.
Even if said videos are several years old. And some of the videos are getting flat out removed. This is censorship plain & simple. None of these videos are calling for or encuraging violence of any kind. None of them are premoting anything illegal. Also, MSNBC is using footage of harmless friendly gun youtuber Hickok45 while discussing the Vegas shooter. Examples of some of his videos... - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfjbh34MrTI - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXh4Qhmt3xA - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-FG9ZKerGM It does not matter where you stand on gun control, this is shit is wrong, period. |

Decadence - Girls were allowed to join the British Scouts movement back in the 1970's. I was in a troop that was one of the 'experimental mixed development troop'.

Alas.. Halloween approaches again... time for the preemptive outrage to begin.
It may not snow for Halloween, but the flakes are already out en masse regarding the dangers of offensive Halloween costumes. Gone are the days when students could dress up without fear of being reported to some sort of bias response team (or worse). In recent years, campus leaders have made it their mission to warn students about what not to wear. St. Thomas University has listed unacceptable costumes in their diversity flier warning against what is now called "cultural appropriation"... defined as: the act of taking intellectual and cultural expressions from a culture that is not your own, without showing that you understand or respect the culture. This includes the wearing of Native American headdresses and sombreros. UC Santa Barbara will hold a social justice workshop that will delve into how costumes abuse indigenous wear and teach students how to spot cultural appropriation. Princeton University will hold a conversation circle at which students will engage in talks about the impact of appropriation and why culture is not a costume. Washington State University has a squad of Social Justice Peer Educators who are there to remind students how appropriated costumes can be disrespectful and harmful to marginalized groups. Tufts University's Greek systems have been warned they could face disciplinary sanctions (including an investigation by campus police) for costumes that offend others or make the campus community feel threatened or unsafe. Students have also been encouraged to rat each other out should someone wear an inappropriate and offensive costume. The University of Florida echoed all of that and went a step further-- notifying students that there are resources available to them including a 24/7 counselor in their Counseling and Wellness Center if they feel offended by anything on Halloween. The list is endless. The part that bothers me the most is who gets to decide what's offensive.. or what goes too far. If we've gotten to the point where snowflakes need counselors to help them deal with Halloween costumes then we're more fucked as country than I dared realize. We've recently seen where a carelessly discarded banana peel caused nothing short of panic among some students.. they may as well just ban Halloween from campuses just to make sure nobody suffers any long term emotional trauma. Dean Wormer was on to something all those years ago:

The LBGT crowd have persuaded the side of the National Health Service that don't do healthcare (Managers and Administrators) that all GP's should ask their patients to declare their sexuality. Should my GP ask me neither he nor the LBGT crowd will like my answer.

Good news! Now you don't have to declare... at least if you live in California.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/17/politi...ary/index.html California Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a bill that will allow state residents who do not identify as male or female to have a third option on driver's licenses and birth certificates. I sure am happy that Governor Moonbeam has plenty of time on his schedule for stuff like this since doesn't have to deal with things like droughts and wildfires in California. |

BBC's Newsnight tonight leads on Free speech versus political correctness in our universities.
Radical lesbian feminist Linda Bellos has had an invitation to speak at Peterhouse College, Cambridge University withdrawn amid concerns that transgender activists could oppose her. The invitation was withdrawn after Bellos said she would be “publicly questioning some of the transgender politics . . . which seems to assert the power of those who were previously designated male to tell lesbians, and especially lesbian feminists, what to say and think”. Bellos is a an equal rights campaigner, who is also responsible for establishing Black History Month in Britain. Details: https://www.theguardian.com/commenti...-male-violence I believe that Freedom of speech should not be used as justification to allow unrestricted speeches of hate. BUT if someone like Linda Bellos is unable to discuss controversial issues at an University - an institution supposedly created to allow the free exchange of ideas, then this is no longer PC gone crazy - this is censorship, plain and simple.
