If nobody else is already at work, I'll start filling gaps (magazine IDs) in the 'LL' category on Saturday. Please post a hint if my contribution to that is not needed.

Inserted 2 Variants with bold Items to .P-List, I think that looks better - also witout Gaps.

Would be nice to find one Layout for all. It don't have to be made manually, I can do that with the Update-Routines.

bye for tonight

I just played a bit with CSVed and noticed it will delete blanks between columns automatically when you edit a record. That reminds me to point out that there are no blanks in CSV files normally between comma and the following character or number, e. g.

.P,1296f,LL,Forbidden Thrills,28,LL34.?, instead of
.P, 1296f, LL, Forbidden Thrills, 28, LL34.?,

Please take that into account.

[ Al : I just played a bit with CSVed... ]

I could write them in the same Way, that is easy and saves Space.

Perhaps interesting for a Brainstorming

My current way to organize my Collection ...

- Maingroups : Web, Magazines, Persons, Rooms, Objects ( physical Objects or Actions )
- Folders to collect.
- Folders with various Places : no static HD-Structure
- Links that follow the Folders.
- Properties linked with Thumbs.
- Objects ( Combined Properties for Persons, Rooms, Actions, etc... or a single Object like a Pattern )
- Word Phrasing.
- I save only what I am thinking about that moment.

I try to push because I see a great Benefit for all in sharing Knowledge.

Hi Al, I marked 'LL' but you can use it as Source. The Referencelist will be updated. I think then comes the moment to close the old Lists.

@ all

I am preparing a VB-Script ( Exe and Sourcecode for Post#2 ) which updates a List and creates two .txt-Files on your HD.
- File 1 : Updated List
- File 2 : Protocoll of the Update

Advantage :
- Update Counter ( Updates : # )
- Automaticly Sorting.
- Same Layout(s) for all Posts.
- Automaticly recognizing of new Entries ( Protocoll ).
- Extented Syntax-Check according to our Sources like 235, 238, etc... ( Errors to Protocoll )
- Filter to Export one Category or a Series of Mag Titles ( is very useful for experts )

( added )
Thoughts Editor:
There is no need for another CSV Editor.
Big Advantage ( Future ): Marking of the modified Fields for Updates, that means only modified Entries would be updated. It would allow Members to work on a complete List without overwriting other Efforts in the same Entry ( except same edited Fields in one Entry ).

I say keep the space after a comma in the CSV file(s). It makes lines much easier to read.

A compacted version of the CSV file(s) could be created by replacing comma-space with comma. However, the original CSV file(s) with comma-space should be kept and used when making additions and corrections.

Summary:

P,1296f,LL,Forbidden Thrills,28,LL34.?,
.P, 1296f, LL, Forbidden Thrills, 28, LL34.?,

.P-List (post #227) looks much better now. Adding blank lines was a stroke of genius!

Other comments:

* No need for bold set numbers. CSV is a plain text format.
* Blank lines needed after 0297h, 0397h, 22h, 58x.
* From now on all changes to .P list in post #227 only (until new thread created)

I will work on missing .P sets today, if nobody else is doing this.
