Many of my favourites have already been mentioned. I do have a soft spot for The Sons of Katie Elder and The Three Godfathers, not classics, but I like them.

Destry Rides again.
Good, Bad etc (brilliant hangover film, I've found). True Grit (I love the girl in this; and Wayne is really good, too). Way Out West. (I used to dislike the idea of Westerns, until I started treating them as Fantasy - a retelling of something that wasn't really like that, but which should have been.) |

tryin to remember a western i saw on tv years ago, the movie starts with a burning ranch
and a gang of men on horseback. the father is gunned down in front of his son, they appoint one of the gang to kill the kid instead he raises the lad in secret. the boy at the time remembers feature of the killers and sets about tracking them down to get revenge. i am sure it was a spaghetti western anybody know the title , i also remember he uses a rifle instead of a colt 45 thanks for the movies name Edit;- death rides a horse Thanks to Mal Hombre Last edited by renno61; May 8th, 2010 at 09:22 PM.. |

i really like "Chuka" starring a brilliant Rod Taylor and John Mills (both are antiheroes in this movie)
"Chuka derives its power from the high quality of the story on which it is based. I can recommend it heartily for western fans, for Victoria Vetri fans, and for Rod Taylor's excellent, dynamic performance." |
