Attention: There is a prevalent email scam happening everywhere where the sender claims to have a password to a site and demands money in some form. Ignore it, do not respond and at most change passwords on any sites you frequent.

Effective immediately, moving or animated GIFs are not allowed in signatures. If your signature has one, please remove or replace it asap. Staff will remove them as and when we see them without notice.

Sincerest apologies to everyone for the recent blackout. VEF and several of our sister forums had a major server malfunction. The database index is being rebuilt from scratch and may take at least several days to be fully restored. Expect major weirdness and lots of glitches in the meantime. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Unfortunately it seems that all of the posts made from the 13th March until the crash are permanently lost, please feel free to re-post any such material, apologies for this.

Wow... what a shock (eyeroll). Perhaps it's time for VEF to consider new avenues in its recommended image hosting platforms. Not that VEF is responsible for these image hoster's patent unreliability issues of course, but just saying that based on said unreliability factor the forum could put some new hosting choices on the table. Also, and on a sincere note- big thanks to the VEF admins for always tackling these probs head on and updating the user base regarding the situations at hand- in trying technical times you all are truly a life raft of relief amidst the stormy waters of frustration. Again, thank you. (BTW- not interested in getting into a philosophical debate with anyone about image host's histories or reliability factors - just upping a suggestion. Thx.)
