But as I have said before the EU will not allow us back to our position prior to the referendum, if we were to rejoin the EU we would be prevented from ever disagreeing again and our MEP's would have even less credibility than they do now.
If another referendum is held who knows what the two sides will offer?
The only thing we do know is neither side will give the full picture so nothing will change there

Good question. You probably do need a few years outside. You've been inside long enough, but still don't get why a united Europe is desirable. Maybe you'll get it later, when your place in the world is clearer to you

We imported about £34 million pounds worth of cod from Germany in 2015. Germany is our biggest EU supplier of cod, the traditional fish and chips fish. But she is fifth in the list after Iceland (£159m); China (£71m); Russia (£43m) and Norway (£38m). But if we didn't stop buying from Russia after the Crimea and the Donbass problem, we are most unlikely to stop buying cod from Germany over such a minor thing as Brexit.

You need more people. Surely a bit more horizontal refreshment can be achieved?

Maybe British delicacy fish could be popular?
Sadly, as far as I know, Russia has banned seafood imports from the EU because she is under sanctions and doesn't like it. I can't see it changing anytime soon. Neither will the UK break ranks with the EU on sanctions just because she is leaving. All that Scottish mackerel you used to buy in goes to China now.

Its sometimes overlooked, but the EU has had more than a few "second Referenda" to reverse some earlier unworkable measure.

Denmark for example, had referenda on Maastricht Treaty in 1992 and 1993.

If both sides were to treat this negotiation as less of an existential crisis, they'd recognize that working out the rough edges of a confederation of sovereigns by popular referendum will necessarily have its ups and downs.

The history of Switzerland's sovereign cantons and their integration into a confederacy is a good example of just how long and complex such a process can be, even on a much smaller scale.

According to what I read elsewhere there are more than 300 species of fish common in UK waters .

Haddock, a Scottish favourite, to name but one - only cats and foreigners eat cod up here.

One of the reasons for depletion of Cod stocks has been the Danes removing large quantities of Sand Eels from the North East coast. Sand eels are a staple food of young cod but the Danes use them to turn into pig food.

This also threatens the puffin populations on the Farne Islands and Holy Island in Northumberland. Sand eels are their staple food. The EU recently gave permission to Denmark to increase their take of sandeels from British waters from 82,000 metric tons to 458,000 metric tons - an act of criminal folly. I earnestly hope that will stop at once when we leave the EU. At one stage the Danes were using sand eels as fuel to generate electricity but in fairness I seem to remember that they stopped doing that a while back. However, it is more than time that Britain takes control of regulating fisheries in British waters - the EU are quite useless in this function.

Don't forget the deep fried chocolate orange. You eat it as a dessert and with icecream, apparently.
